Hey girls! It’s springtime and do you know what that means? It’s time to experiment with bright, fun makeup looks! Recently, I’ve been wearing lipstick every single day, so I’ve decided to challenge you — yes, you — to branch out and start wearing some fun and unexpected lipstick shades.
Spring is the perfect opportunity to be experimental because it’s not too hot and humid outside, plus this season is all about new beginnings, right? So today I’m going to share with you my 8 favorite spring lipsticks that I’ve been rocking recently:
1. Wet n Wild MegaLast Matte Lipstick in 901B Think Pink
Wet n Wild MegaLast Matte Lipstick in 901B Think Pink
This color is the perfect warm pastel shade of pink. It’s creamy and matte, which leaves your lips looking plush and velvety. I love this color and wear it on a regular basis!
2. NYX Extra Creamy Round Lipstick in 592 Baby Pink

Though this color is called Baby Pink, it’s definitely more of a pastel lavender color. Either way, though, it’s absolutely perfect for spring. Just like its name, this one is extremely soft and smooth — it hardly feels like you’re wearing any lipstick! I know sometimes lipstick can sometimes feel heavy, but this isn’t the case with this one, since it’s super-lightweight with a creamy finish.
3. Rimmel Moisture Renew Lipstick, SPF 18 in 642 Nude Delight
Rimmel Moisture Renew Lipstick, SPF 18 in 642 Nude Delight
This is a recent favorite of mine — I’ve started to reach for it every day! I love this color in particular because it’s not your basic nude lipstick. This shade is a little more unexpected! It has brown and orange undertones, which I think makes it play nicely with most skin tones. This is the type of lipstick you can wear with basically any outfit. Also, it’s extremely moisturizing, so it won’t dry out your lips.
4. Revlon ColorBurst Lip Butter in 075 Lollipop
Revlon ColorBurst Lip Butter in 075 Lollipop
You guys will find out shortly that I am OBSESSED with the Revlon Lip Butters. (They’re one of our favorite lip products of all time, although CF writer Carina prefers Revlon’s Just Bitten Balm Stain.) On me, the colors are all so pigmented, build-able, and moisturizing. This shade is called Lollipop, and it’s kind of a magenta berry shade that looks fab when you want to spruce up a basic outfit. It’s also absolutely perfect for spring!
5. Revlon ColorBurst Lip Butter in 010 Raspberry Pie

This bright raspberry color is so pretty! It’s extremely versatile and not as bright as Lollipop so you can pretty much wear it with anything. I love wearing this color with brighter outfits for a fun and fashionable look.
6. Revlon ColorBurst Lip Butter in 085 Sugar Plum
Revlon ColorBurst Lip Butter in 085 Sugar Plum
This shade is a muted plum/berry color. It does start off pretty sheer, but you can easily build it up to be more opaque. I love this shade because you’re able to choose how dark you want to go and it’s neutral enough to work for daytime.
7. MAC Lipstick in Russian Red
This is BY FAR my favorite red lipstick… ever. It’s matte and creamy and is the perfect shade of true red. I call it my Taylor Swift lip!
8. Rimmel London Lasting Finish Lipstick in 124 Bordeaux
Rimmel London Lasting Finish Lipstick in 124 Bordeaux
Although perhaps not the springiest of shades, bordeaux is quickly becoming one of my favorite colors. My nails are currently painted Essie Bordeaux, so when I found this lipstick, I pretty much died and went to heaven. I love, love, LOVE this color and try to wear it as often as I can. The lipstick itself is also very creamy and moisturizing, so I’m able to wear it all day knowing it won’t dry out my lips.
Your thoughts?
So those are my favorite lipsticks that I’ve been rocking this spring! Do you like any of the shades in particular? Have you tried any of them out? Which lipsticks have you been rocking this spring? Let me know in the comments!
I LOVE the way your lips look, I can never get my lip color to look like that. It always gets smear-y on the edges. Could you please do a makeup tutorial on applying lip color?
They’re so pretty! I’m also obsessed with the maybelline color whisper!
Really great list. i’m glad that you showed us what the color looks like on your lips! Sometimes it can be hard to tell what a color really looks like on a person from just the color of the tube.
