Would You Wear… Mixed Greens?

When we say that mixed greens are going to be all the rage this fall, we’re not talking about your favorite leafy vegetables. Ever since Pantone declared two shades of green to be this season’s colors, we’ve been noticing a palette of green shades in stores and on the streets.
To be specific, Ultramarine Green (Pantone 18-5338) and Bright Chartreuse (Pantone 14-0445) are Pantone’s chosen green hues. Variations are being seen together everywhere; it’s usually a hunter green dress or top paired with a chartreuse or mint accessory.
Even if you’re not a matchy-matchy person, this trend is particularly chic and easy to wear. In fact, cool hues of greens are the perfect way to transition into fall. We can’t help but give this trend two green thumbs up. (Sorry, couldn’t help myself!)
Here’s how we’d wear it…

Yup. Green wouldn’t be many people’s go-to colour. There’s something so relaxed about green clothing though, and I love it.

Already wearing – bought a green cotton sleeveless blouse at a local thrift store and a pair of kelly green shoes – combining these with a gray skirt with a floral pattern that has some green tints.

I really like all the outfits though I don’t know if I’ll wear anything that is Bright Chartreuse because I personally don’t like that color.. But I definitely love dark green with a lighter green :)

As a redhead, I’m thanking the fashion gods for this trend. Ready for pastels that make my skin look pasty as can be to be out and darker colors to be in :D

I love this idea of different shades of green! The nude booties really make it come together. Chinese Laundry has cute booties like this at such a great price!
Rachel
I would definitely do this! Green is my favorite color and I love how none of these outfits are too over the top.
Joanne
Love this! Dressing monochrome is such a simple way to look chic in a snap. I really like the neutral boot on the last look.

I think the outfits look really nice, however, I think you have to be careful when chosing the green tones. For example, there are some green tones, like olive and similar colours, I really just can’t pull of as they make me super pale. But not a nice pale but a ‘you look really sick’ pale. For everyone else, however, I think it’s a great idea.
