Would You Wear… Floral Jeans?

1. Toni Caroline, 2. ASOS, 3. Ricarda Schernus
We all know florals are a staple for spring and summer, but have you ever thought about wearing denim in a floral print? Floral jeans are popping up in stores everywhere and giving the popular print a breath of fresh air.
Floral jeans remind me of some similar pants I used to sport on the playground circa the early 90s. These updated versions, however, are much more fitted and chic. Flower-print jeans have just the right amount of fashion-forward flair paired with childlike fun.
When I first read about this trend, I was, quite frankly, appalled. But after looking at some different styles of floral jeans (like the ones above!) they started to grow on me. Although I’m not brave enough to rock the super-bright prints, I would definitely wear the ones with a muted color palette.
If you’re still not sure about this trend or you want to see more, check out these two looks:

No. Maybe the more neutral ones at the bottom. But not the crazy colorful print. I’m trying to downplay my bottom half not make it look bigger!
Ally
I like the subtle one! The bold pair.. hm, not really my thing.
But I still prefer to wear flower patterns on a dress, a bikini or a top.

I used to have tan floral jeans YEARS ago. I really loved them a lot, however I wouldn’t wear bright ones. I like the neutral ones that Ricarda Schernus is wearing because they create an interesting texture without being in your face.
Diane
The gray ones aren’t too bad, but I can’t really see them working for me..
Kenna
Yeah I agree with Joleen. I think wearing floral jeans would make me look about 15 lbs bigger! BUT I could definitely see some people pulling it off. Especially with the more subtle prints.
Ashley
Oh my god, I love these. I never thought of wearing floral jeans, but now I’m gonna have to go get a pair.
SupaWaifu
Nooo thankyou. They remind me too much of printed tights. But I also don’t really wear many florals to begin with.
Nicole Kim
I think the subtle/neutral ones on the bottom are definitely what a lot of people could wear as it is not too bold and wild.
I really like the pink top with the jeans.
Good post!
Robin
Waaaaaaaaay too ’90′s to me. No thank you!
arisel
I have to admit when I read the title of this post I Laughed and went “no way!” buy these jeans look very cute. the bright florals would be hard to pull off and need a lot of confidence but I think I can rock the ones in muted tones :)
I’m looking forward to buying a pair!
ThatManJustYawned
no. not for me. and not for lack of bravery, more like lack of suitable thighs.
Isabelle
I really want to shout “MAKE IT GO AWAY, BABY JESUS!”
Kelly
eh. no.
I mean, I might. with an oversized white t-shirt or something, and some cute flats. I’ve got twig legs, which these might actually work on.
that being said, they’re a bit too “trend” for me. I can’t see them being in for more than just a season. I don’t feel like dropping the $50+ on jeans I’m going to wear a dozen times that will be irrelevant next season.
in an alternate universe where my wallet was endless, maybe. but not now.
kelly
i think like all skinny jeans you need the right legs to wear them. these are super cute and i really want a pair! i like the muted ones, and they’re more practical, but i’d also wear the bright ones, just less often
Larissa
I actually like the bright ones more; I figure I’d rather embrace the trend if I were to try it out.
That being said, I simply can’t afford new clothes right now (which is why I peruse here for new ideas).
Gracey
they are cute, but I don’t think I would wear them. Like Kelly said, I have stick legs so I think they might work, but they aren’t my style.
jessielou
lol I think I had a similar pair in a legging version when I was a kid. I loved them.
however, I don’t think I’m going for that look today….
A
love the outfit in the last picture!
Milana
Hmm, can’t say that I would dare to.
I bought a pair of floral stockings that I haven’t worn yet – I don’t know why…
Sharon
i like the subtle one! :)
Molly
I LOVE both looks! I especially want to try the “bold” look! :)
Essie
I like floral printed shorts better. They’re not so busy and can add some pattern to a plain outfit.
CLC
wow, I’ve never even heard of these before!! The subtle outfit is gorgeous…I would definitely try this out!
Cassandra
Yikes- this looks like a crazy fad that people twenty years in the future will be laughing at. No way will I wear it.
Stel
I like the subtle ones, but I don’t wear jeans regularly enough to justify it!
Julia
Oh I love them, but I can’t even dream about wearing them… my thighs are simply not compatible with these jeans no matter how cute they are :(
Lorraine
I loove the first look :D unfortunately people are not very original in my college (if I put a floral dress they think I wear like a grandma xD) so I’m not shure I will be brave enough …Or maybe in holiday
Erin
The looks put together are cute, however floral jeans don’t really match my fashion personality. My style is more edgy, if it were more bohemian this trend would be super cute!
Hannah
I personally do not like floral jeans, but where I live in Barcelona, they’re everywhere. Then again, Spanish girls are tiny! They can look really nice here (girls here either go for a hippy vibe with headbands and wedges, or team bright floral jeans with leather jackets and sky high black heels).
Both seem to work well, but for me, and anyone else above a UK size 10, definately not!
Kristina
I love anything floral, so I absolutely love the idea of these jeans. However, I too think this is a skinny-leg only trend. I’m 5’8″ and a size 7 or 9, and I definitely think these jeans would add weight and attention to my thighs that they absolutely do not need…
Fayet
My God, those remind me of the leggins I wore as a child. And I don’t appreciate looking at those pictures now. No, floral jeans are a no-go for me. A big one. *shudders*
Annie
Omg, no way…they remind me of those tights I used to wear in elementary school!
Jaime
I think it looks really nice in the middle (ASOS) example picture. I would totally go for it if I had a bit skinnier legs. However, I have a slightly pear-shaped body, so I don’t think this look would work for me. Sad, because I think it’s really cute.
arielle
if they are subtle i might give it a try. i am a sucker for anything floral!
aish
At first i didnt like the idea
but when i saw the outfits u put together i love it
great job
Blair
ahahha i dont think i could.
MAYBE, MAYBEEEE, if it were realllllllllllllllllly suttle, than MAYBEEE
LOL

Patterns are definitely a rising trend these days, especially for pants. I’m definitely going to try and rock the pattern look but let’s see if I can actually pull it off. I’m excited to see this blow up which it is already!
Cara
LOVE them! I’ve been searching all over Austin for an affordable (under $30 or $40) pair, since I don’t see them sticking around, but I really want them now. So far no luck…I’m about to start cruising the internet, even though finding small enough sizes is so tough.
esh
They’re so ugly to me.
Laura
I actually like these! I don’t think I’d purchase them, esp. expensive ones. But I have seen leggings/jeggings in floral and I think they’re adorable! I have really thin legs too, and I’m in Fine Arts, so it’s totally normal to see a guy wearing leather pants or girls wearing huge tutus :) I love my hippie town XD
I think with confidence, A LOT of different and unique looks can be pulled off!
Cherry @ Handbag Hook
Wow! the pairings are really great! :) Hope I can get one of those.
Regards
R
i dont think i would EVER try the bold ones because quite frankly i think those are kinda ugly… but i love the light pallete ones. but i cant find them anywhere!!!
Maddie
Ew. I would just get some floral tights, because those I LOVE.
Victoria
Not totally in love with floral jeans. I think they are a little too out there for me so I probably wouldn’t buy a pair. I like floral tops much better.
Rachel
I like, I like
