Absolutely not! I hate designer knockoffs. If you're going to go through all the trouble to find a cheap fake pair, why not just get the real thing? You get your money's worth: Designer sunglasses are high quality and usually handmade. They are authentic, genuine, and unique. I don't just buy designer because I have the money to, I buy them because I like authenticity. My favorite designer labels are Gianni Versace (Vintage), Versace (Modern), Louis Vuitton, Guccio Gucci, Chanel, Coach, and Dolce & Gabbana. I don't have a single pair of sunglasses that arent designer. Same with my cologne.

Never! I have a couple of authentic Louis Vuitton bags that I saved up for and finally purchased. If you can't afford to buy real designer handbags, either save up for one or don't purchase anything at all. Fakes are just tacky and you may think you're trying to keep up carrying that fake around but the truth is it just makes you look cheap.

designer knockoffs are for people who want those famous new trends but don't want to pay hundreds for them. whats so bad about that?! i bet if some one changed the tag to the the real brand you wouldn't tell the difference and whats the point of it being a big brand, the product does the job either way. so stop trying to look rich cause at the end of it all its all the same shit.

Why buy a fake Louis when you can just save up to get a real one? C'mon guys, if you can't afford an authentic purse then just settle for a non branded Target purse or something.

I don't buy the fake one that are sold on the street, instead I buy them online. I have bought a classic Chanel 2.55 and a Balenciaga Motorcycle bag and I love them. It doesn't mind me that they're fake because they look like the real thing.

i think people didn't understand the difference between a knock-off and a fake version of something. the first isn't a copy, with big bold letters saying the name of the, though fake. the latter, however, is just something inspired by the brand ones, which is more affordable and "in fashion" and trendy, but not a fake version. i think it is cool there are knock-offs, mainly because they keep you trendy without having to spend a fortune just for the brand. after all, both pieces are pretty much the same, but the brand one is tagged for the brand itself. so i think people should stop bothering about knock-offs, but worry about the fake garments.

I respect the fact that you guys are so adamant about avoiding making any contributions to heinous groups and business structures. I do have to add, however, that if you have ever shopped at Wal-Mart or any retailer that purchases or manufactures any products from countries like China, then you have supported the very things you adamantly protest. The trade agreement that Clinton signed with China was supposed to be a benefit for Americans, but it ended up being a disaster. Wal-Mart has played a deliberate role in forcing American business to close (and contributed to many job losses) and even testified against an American business owner that was suing China for creating an unfair trade situation. Check out the PBS special: http://www.pbs.org/wgbh/pages/frontline/shows/walmart/.

Corruption can be anywhere, even inside the brand names people hold in such high esteem. One designer (the really old and skinny wrinkly guy) even said that he is all for keeping fat people out of the fashion world. He said that, in this way, he was helping contribute to a decrease in obesity which is as worse than anorexia. America is one of the major players and contributors to the terrorism and heinousness in this world. I encourage you to watch "Lord of War" or "Syriana" if you disagree.

Knock offs can be made of lamb skin, calfskin, and even use real gold so quality is not much of a factor when you are talking about the "good" knockoffs. The "phony" person argument is there are many people who buy designer bags and have very little to no money to put in them. Whether you diligently saved for it or not, you are leaving people with the impression that you are wealthy when you are not. And if I haven't walked down your street yet, then let me say that being a "good saver" doesn't equate to being fiscally smart.. if you can't afford a home or property and your bag is worth a down payment of a home, then that would make you a foolish spender. I come from a wealthy family and we find it very ridiculous when people who live paycheck to paycheck think having a designer bag makes them better in some way.

I make my own bags and pretty soon my own clothes but personally, I think that if you can get the same quality materials and be missing a minor serial number on the inside, and you saved $2,000... then you are pretty fiscally savvy. Avoiding terrorist contributors to the enth degree is like hiding your feet from the ground at this point.

People who claim they will "NEVER NEVER NEVER" buy fakes obviously don't need to even think about it, especially when their parents are buying them Hermes and Chanel bags. If we were to ask for the incomes of the people who die before buying a fake, and those who don't care, I think we'd see a huge divide. I'm sure the people with the Hermes bags would never have to lower themselves to breathing the same air as the ones who buy fakes, so I don't see what the big deal is.
