Here at CF, we try to keep an eye on the runways. One emerging trend that we can’t get enough of is primarily due to Miu Miu. This fashion house sends hordes of curved heel pumps down their runways season after season. Now the shoe style has caught on and it looks like it is here to stay.

A curved heel, whether inwards or outwards, adds some serious edge to your overall look. While they may not be suitable for a conservative work environment, they are quite a statement piece to rock out on the town.

Curved heel haters blast them by saying they look like hooves, but we beg to differ. Although it’s safe to say this trend won’t be around forever, it definitely has staying power for several seasons to come.

Dress them up for a night out…

They’re called banana heels and I think they look as ridiculous as those heel-less shoes.

I don’t think I would rock those heels. They are a bit too “out there” for me to wear. They also don’t strike me as comfortable or maybe even safe. I will stick to my regular old pumps!

I got a pair of these last year from Target because I needed black shoes at the last minute and was far from my house. At first I wasn’t so happy with the shape- I thought they looked a little silly, but now I like them. they look great with black tights, and I always get compliments on them. I think they’re great because they do make a bit of a statement, but it’s not so in your face.

I feel like they make your feet look huge…..so, I personally wouldn’t wear them (I wear 8.5), but I feel like girls with really tiny feet could pull them off.

I like the look of them (the middle stiletto one is nice) but I feel like I’d trip and die…

Even on a skinny girl they look like they’re buckling.
On anyone even slightly plump, that effect is fatal… you just look as if you’re too heavy for your shoes!!

I’ve always disliked them really, though reckon they’ll stick around a bit longer as it is a simple modification to make a basic shoe into a statement shoe. They just don’t look elegant to me, and not streamlined enough to be flattering somehow.
