Would You Wear… Baroque Prints?

Making outfits look lavish and expensive on a college budget can be a difficult task, but baroque-printed clothing may be a perfect way to bridge the gap. Dolce & Gabanna, Marni, and Etro have sent high-dollar Rococo-inspired damask prints down the runway, but there are plenty of affordable options available.

When baroque-inspired patterns are worn on a dress, skirt, or top, they can add an extra level of interest to a plain outfit. We’re obsessed with the dress from ASOS for formals or fancy nights out, while the cute top from Urban Outfitters would be perfect to layer under a scarf and sweater for class.

I love these! I have an edgy sense of style so they fit right in and give off sort of a glam vibe. Love the ASOS dress the best out of the photos you picked. <3 this trend!

Liked the ASOS dress, and the Dorothy Perkins dress, but not the top or the runway clothes…

Sorry, but this particular trend has gone completely over my head. The prints just remind me of horrible old curtains or rugs that you’d get in an old house! Maybe I’ll see someone pull it off one day, but for now, I’ll sit out of this one :P

Respectfully, never…..not even on accessories. That being said, though, I do really like the look……..just on others. :)

…..btw, the first runway look and the ASOS dresses are my favorite. They both are super pretty and somewhat regal.

Would you happen to know where to find a more affordable version of the ASOS baroque dress??? Or something similar of course. I LOVE it, but my wallet doesn’t love the price tage :(

Definitely. There’s just something so romantic and mystical about Baroque embroidery and art.

I would LOVE to rock this print! I love how it instantly dresses up everything. I’d rather wear this than a pair of sweatpants and college name sweatshirts.

I love this trend! One of my close friends had a baroque print dress that I borrowed for homecoming, I paired it with some fancy silver jewelry. It was definitely my favorite homecoming ensemble :) Although the print was more subtle than what is shown in these pictures.
