Canaries, bananas, submarines, and phone books are yellow, and so are some of the season’s hottest jackets. Yellow is a super hot jacket and coat color right now, seen on celebs and street-style-ers alike. Nicole Richie was recently spotted at a Laker’s game in a yellow biker jacket, and Miranda Kerr and Kat Graham are often seen rocking their yellow blazers.

If you think these jackets would be difficult to wear, think again!  Various street style looks have shown pairing one with unique patterns, basic black, and even contrasting colors. However you choose to wear your yellow jacket, be sure to make it the focal point of the outfit.

    I really like #5, the Victoria’s Secret peacoat! It looks adorable — reminds me of a big yellow rain slicker that I had when I was a kid. Great to wear something bright and cheerful like that on a gloomy winter day. :)

    Too funny – I’ve been wearing a bright yellow coat from Old Navy this entire winter season! Anyone ho is looking for me says it’s easy to spot me, because I stand out. All the other women in the city I live in have dark coloured winter jackets. I like that the yellow really sets me apart from everyone else. :-)

    I’ve been wearing a bright yellow duffle coat since I bought it in September. I thought at first it would be hard to match and I’d have to make outfits on purpose to wear it (and did at first) but then I realized, much to my amazement that it goes with everything!

    Uh, yeah I would wear a yellow jacket. I got one similar to the peacoat shown in number 5 about two years ago and absolutely LOVE it. I have always gotten compiments on the bright color!

    I’ve recently been rocking a bright yellow denim moto jacket I thrifted a few months ago. So cool that it’s a trend. I’m so excited that we’ll be seeing more yellow now!

    I have a vintage inspired mustard-yellow blazer and I am in love with it! I wear it with a flow-y cream-colored blouse and normally a dark pair of Levi’s, and top with riding boots or vintage flats. I love this post :) You should put together some outfits!

    My favorite is number 4. I love a good blazer. Especially, with such bright color. With a yellow one, a pretty black dress would be really cute! ;)
