Would You Wear… a Studded Bracelet?

Studded cuffs
Annalynne McCord, Leighton Meester, and Rumi from Fashion Toast wearing studded cuffs.

Studs are a huge trend in fashion right now, adding a rocker touch to everything from handbags and footwear to belts and jackets. It’s a nod to classic punk styles of the past and a great One of the most popular ways to wear studs lately has been in the form of a studded bracelet, old school Hot Topic style.

Celebrities like Annalynne McCord and Leighton Meester have been spotted wearing studded cuffs with pretty dresses on the red carpet, officially bringing this trend to the mainstream. It’s definitely a fun look that’s a little unexpected… but is it wearable in real life?

Now I have to admit, I owned one of these studded cuffs during a rebellious phase in high school, way before they were “fashionable”, so it’s definitely weird to see them on the wrists of celebrities and fashion people alike right now. That said, I like that studs are back and think the studded cuff is a great way to add a little bit of a rocker edge to an otherwise demure outfit.

So what do you think? Would you wear a studded cuff? Have you been rocking studs this season? Leave a comment and let me know what you think!

I think that this is an awesome look! Its not too over the top but it adds a tinge of rocker feel to any outfit and that is (almost) always good :) and rumi pulls this trend off SO WELL!

I’ve been waiting for this look to come back! I love studs because you can DIY really easily, I just made a great pair of studded cut-offs. It’s a neat way to combine roughness to an otherwise girly outfit.

    so a yes from me!

I was all over this when it was not popular back when I was in highschool. So the cool part is that I don’t even have to buy one =P

    It’s a cool style.

Any reccomendations for affordable and cute options?
I’m a terrible DIY-er and since its one of those trend i bet will be gone before you know it, I wouldn’t want to drop a lot of money.

I have 3 of these from when I use to wear in middle and high school. I love these. They add a rock-ish vibe to any cute outfit, like a simple little black dress.

I think I prefer studs on shoes and handbags (especially shoes). I’d to be to scared I’d poke myself in the eye when I went to brush my hair back!

I think the studded bracelets look good with simple outfits, as Leighton Meester and Annalynne McCord have prooved but i think if you wear it with other bangles, and a more casual outfit you are in danger of looking like a rockstar teenage wannabe ;P

It amuses me how this is in style now. I used to wear bracelets like this all the time in high school when I went through a skater/punk/Hot Topic phase. It was terrible.

I wouldn’t wear one like Rumi’s because that is too reminiscent of what I wore in high school. However, I would definitely wear ones like Annalynne McCord and Leighton Meester!

I really like the one that Leighton’s wearing, so I think I would wear that–it’s cute and would go with a lot! The other two are a bit too chunky for my taste, though.

I’m in love with studs right now, but I’m lacking them in my wardrobe. studded bracelets can be cute, but some of them are a little too much. I want to try a diy where you put studs onto the back of denim cutoffs, somewhere around the pockets.

I don’t really like the studded bracelets look personally, but Annalynne McCord’s look is gorgeous. I like the rocker edge it adds also.

Like you said Zepher, this just reminds me of high school. I’ve still got a plastic hottopic one stashed away somewhere in my junk drawer. lol

This is not a trend I’ll try to bring back, no matter how expensive the material, it still looks hot toppic-ish.

I totally love it, but I wouldn’t wear a typical studded bracelet. I like the one in the first picture, but not really the one in the 3rd picture.
I’m thinking about wearing one (as well as some Louboutin inspired sandals) with my black strapless dress to a wedding next month!

I love studs, I have this Guess studded purse that I lovee. I don’t know about Rumi’s bracelet, it kinda too hardcore for me, but I love Annalynne’s bracelet.

I remember people wanting to be rebellious and wearing these studded bracelets in high school too. I’m not sure that I would wear these bracelets, but maybe if the studs were a little more subtle.

i LOVE this trend! i have a watch from forever 21 that looks similar to the far right picture that you posted, and i think it adds a little edge to a girly outfit, and i also think it is a great part of the rocker-chic trend that has yet to go out of style! i feel totally invincible strutting around in my zip-up jessica simpson heels and my studded cuff!

OH! and my favorite DIY project:
i have yet to do this, but i want to rip off the back pocket og a pair of jeans (just the top corner so its hanging off) and cover the inside with studs!

I used to do the studded bracelet thing to when I was a punky preteen, but I think it could be a nice, rocker-ish touch to a more glamourous outfit. I like it, and yes, I would wear it.

I really love the studs trend! My style is far from punk, but I’ve always wanted something to add a touch of edge to outfit when I feel particularly daring, and studded bracelets fit the bill perfectly!

I think something like this bracelet would be ideal: two rows of studs is all you need to make a statement without going overboard (read: “scaring people”). It’s all about balance and subtlety!

I would wear a studded bracelet, maybe not the super chunky ones. http://www.Shopmasons.com has some that look really classy and not so much like armor. I like the softer version of them.

Studs are one of my favorite current trends. I have been wearing them this season; but mostly on tops, jeans, and shorts. I haven’t worn a studded bracelet yet, but I definitely would wear one!
