Would You Wear… a Flower Headband?
For this week’s Would You Wear?, let’s discuss an accessory trend that’s very spring-appropriate: the flower headband.
As seen on Gossip Girl, celebrities like Zooey Deschanel, and numerous Spring 2009 RTW runways, headbands with floral embellishment are EVERYWHERE right now! Forever 21 alone has 10 different types of flower headbands for sale right now so you know it’s gotta be a trend.
Since these headbands are so popular, I thought I’d get your take on them. Personally, I just bought one of these today so I’m a little biased – I think this look is adorable! But it’s not about what I think. I want to know the reader consensus on this one. So let’s get to it… would you wear a flower headband?

I love this look! With the right outfit this totally works, especially the way Leighton Meester is wearing her’s with a sort of matchy match blouse (which I don’t usually condone) but she has it right. This could very well be the new IT accessory for summer! I will try and find some immediately for my store, yay!

Eh, I’m not a big fan of head-embellishment. A good hairdo is enough. Anything else is overkill.

I love the flower headbands. Zooey Deschanel pulls them off great. I LOVE her. Though you can find them anywhere, I don’t think you should spend a lot of money on them. They are really easy to DIY. Just take a basic headband and fabric or even a fake flower and glue it on! It’ll look more original if you design it yourself. : )

I don’t do well with accessories, so I wouldn’t wear it… in fact, I don’t wear anything in my hair. I do, however, think certain people can pull it off very well.

but i ABSOLUTELY ADORE headbands with side bows. there so cute and give the right amount of volume to your hair. :]

I love headbands, and i’d definitely wear a flower headband, but not one that’s overpowering. One that’s too large may be a bit much for just the average girl. However, flower headbands are a great way to bring in spring and summer!

When i was younger i use to wear those thick headbands everyday in elementry. I wore BIG HUGE clip bows in my hair and always took them off as soon as i stepped out of my moms mini van at school. NOW, those are the trend and I absolutely adore them. I have a bowl full of huge bows, headbands with flowers and feathers, and tons of colorful head pieces that go with any outfit IF you wear it right (which some people just can’t pull off!). So basically, . . . YES i would wear these trendy tid-bits and i definitely dont take them off when i get to school anymore :]

they are so cute. I would wear one, but it depends on the fabric that it is made out of. But, the ones from Forever are adorable. It makes your outfit pop & they are really cute for this season. Its a must for any girls spring/summer wardrobe.

Two of my friends were wearing these in class the other day. One of them had her hair down and curly and hers had a smaller flower on it, and the other one also has curly hair but she was wearing it in a pony tail and her flower was a little bit bigger. Both looks worked really well. I definitely think you have to have the right outfit though, and not too big of a flower, then it looks kind of tacky.

Personally, I wouldn’t wear one. They’re cute but honestly not really appealing to me. I like flowers and all, but not in headband form :/
The strange thing is, I’d still wear flowers in my hair, in the form of a ponytail holder.

I wouldn’t do the headband, simply because they look weird on me. But I wear a clip-on flower just about every day! It really is perfect for spring, and I love the pin up look it gives me :D

I don’t wear headbands very often because they usually hurt my head after a while. I do have a hair band with a flower attached that I wear sometimes. I usually wear my hair the same way day after day so it’s a cute change when I do actually wear it. With a flower on a hair band or a bobby pin, you have more freedom about what you want to do with it.

I think they are completely a must have because they are adorable and you can add it to any outfit, to dress it up or just wear it casually. Either way it spices up your look & adds something extra that everyone is bound to compliment. Also it is helpful to help you make that transition from winter to spring and summer, and they help you introduce color back into your wardrobe. Also they are very spring and summer of course…

I think they are great.
I personally wouldn’t wear one because I think I couldn’t pull it off.
For me, it’s something to be worn to a business casual event or even semi formal. I think it’s too nice for everyday and to informal for a formal affair.

Wearing a flower headband or clip is so cute and a way to spice up nay outfit! smaller ones are eay t wear with multiple hair style, but big ones are harder.
Wearing a big flower really only looks cute when you’re hair is in an up-do. having your hair piled on you head with a flower on the side of the pile is a cute way, also putting your hair in a low chignon (loose bun) thats off to the side, then you can place your large flower in the front on the chignon, so the flower is placed at your neck to the side. The example is kind of formal, but you get the idea. One thing to remember when wearing a larger flower though, don’t wear any jewelry. No earrings, no necklaces, maybe one bracelet (if you must)! The flower should be your only accessory!
