I know what you’re thinking. “Are you crazy?  It’s summer! Why are you writing about (faux) leather jackets?” While yes, it is way too hot this afternoon to don one of my own, colored leather jackets are a blossoming new trend we’re loving for fall.

Perfect for a night out or a cool morning, a bold motorcycle jacket in a hot hue can add pop to any ensemble. No matter what color it is, the biker jacket will always have an edgy appeal. In faux leather, and paired with boyfriend jeans and wedges, it could be a fun summer look to wear right now.

Here’s how I would style one…

How to wear a pink moto jacket with a white tank, skinnies, beige heels, a gold necklace, and white and gold clutch
Product Information: Jacket – Miss Selfridge, Top – Uniqlo, Shoes – Steve Madden, Jeans – H&M, Necklace – GoJane, Clutch – Dorothy Perkins

Now I want to know how you would wear it!

So leave a comment below and let me know.  Is this a look you can see yourself rocking? Is it a cool way to freshen up the traditional motorcycle jacket How would you wear it?

Love it, especially the red one on the girl up top. I’ve also seen some bloggers wearing some gorgeous pastel colored leather jackets. My philosophy is the more color in your life, the better!

I adore faux leather jackets, especially in awkward transition weather time. They make all outfits instantly chic and fashion forward. I have this beautiful burgundy faux leather jacket and I wear it all the time in the fall. This post has gotten me excited to purchase a cute, brightly colored jacket to wear in the fall!! Great inspiration and great post!

That outfit screams Rose Tyler to me, anyone else get that vibe? I’d love one for myself (burgundy? navy?)

Colored leather jackets remind me of the early 2000s for some reason haha ;) They’re a perfect blend of brightness and edge.

The red one on the very first picture looks really cool, but the rest… nahh. Black is the colour nr. 1 for leather jackets, I think. :)

I have three colored faux-leather jackets and I have come to the conclusion that the more the better: it’s ideal to brighten up your look and, over neutrals, it’s a quick pop of color when you are rushing in the morning and don’t have the time to choose an elaborated look! I have it in white, red and lavender and they have become pretty much the foundation of my wardobre in spring/fall.

A colored moto jacket is a great modern version for modern fashionistas!

I already do wear them! I own a bright red one, a pink one, and a black one. Leather jackets add so much dimension to outfits! Such Fun!

I do wear it. I own a red one and I wear it with jeans and a longer, looser top and converse when I want a casual look and with jeans, pumps and a deep cleavage top when I go out

I would go for a neutral like gray…

I can picture myself in a pink leather jacket. It is a cool item. The outfit you created is girly, and I like it. But also, I would wear it with boots or with a dress, to make it edgy.
Nice post! Can’t wait for another challenge!

I wouldn’t do it. The ones in the pictures look nice, but it looks kind of cheap in person, in my opinion, unless the look is done flawlessly.

I would definitely wear that peach/pink leather jacket! It’s so cute! And the color softens up the look.

I wear my faux leather jackets (one is a more motorcycle-inspired one, while the other has cute ruffles!) with everything. Everything! They look great with dresses, as well as jeans and t’s. These jackets are so versatile and I cannot wait to get one in a color that will really pop!
When fall gets closer, you guys should definitely do a post on where to pick some up on the cheap! Pretty please!

YES!!! I love the coloured jeans trend (though I have yet to jump on the wagon and purchase a pair), and I am loving this trend! Especially a nice pastel-coloured jacket. Nice and soft, but still with a bit of an edge

This reminds me too much of two colored leather jackets my mom had in the 80s (a red one and a blue one), but they were also cut a little differently. I dunno still.

I adore my purple faux leather jacket – it goes with everything! I love wearing it with my jeans and tees, but it goes great with my fave party dress too, so I can wear it when I go out too! Plus I got it on sale, which makes it even better!

I actually got one maybe a year ago – this wonderful, soft, mottled lavender. I’m really looking forward to wearing it when the weather is cool again.

I adore these; although I actually only have jackets in black, white, and navy, I’m on the look out for a red one. Bright leather jackets rock.
Also, I must point out that Martha Jones was wearing these before they were cool.

I absolutely adore colored leather jackets. I have one in tan and in red with leopard print inside the lining. :)
