You heard it here first: lace shorts are going to be a big deal this summer.

Not only are they easy to wear and trendy, but lace shorts can be worn with virtually anything and everything. Whether you pair them with a chambray button-up for a utilitarian feel or go for a more classic route with a striped top, these on-trend shorts will add a delicate and easygoing vibe to any outfit.

There’s also more than one type of lace shorts to try this season. For example, in the above left look, the shorts are tiered, while the outfit on the right features more of a lace overlay. When trying this trend, be sure to try on several pairs to see which type of lace shorts you prefer.

Looking for a budget-friendly option? Stores like Forever 21, H&M, and Urban Outfitters have plenty of inexpensive styles in stock right now!

Here’s how we’re wearing them this spring…

I loove lace shorts!! I love the outfit too, although personally i would change the vest from fur to denim or something just because fur really isnt my style. As always great job :)

Love them! I own two pairs, a black pair and an ivory pair. You’re right, they’re so versatile. My style isnt necessarily too feminine, so I wear the lace shorts with something not so feminine, like a denim button down.

The lighter colors are on the verge of looking like underwear or something. I think medium to darker colors could look very nice, though.

I have yet to find a pair that I absolutely loved, but I haven’t given up the search…The outfit you created above is so perfect!

That looks like what my grandmother wears to bed. I think I will pass on this trend for personal reasons! :D

They look like bloomers! At least the white ones do. Darker colors might look better, but still I think I’ll pass.

I already have a pair! And yes, they look better in dark colors. Mine are black. Forever21 sells some really cute ones

I like the idea, but like others have mentioned they look a bit like underwear…I did, however, DIY a white lace overlay onto an existing pair of blue denim shorts, and they look very nice ;)

YES! All the freakin’ time if I can find some I like, or some shorts I can DIY. My dilemma is that most of the ones I see for sale are WAY too short.

I don’t think so. They look like pajamas to me.
