Hi, My Name Is…
Hey guys
Just wanted to let you all know that I’ve been thinking a lot about this site lately and have finally decided to stop writing under an alias and use my real name here!
When I first started CF, it was just a fun hobby and I didn’t want the site to be personal at all. I was a sophomore in college and totally unsure what I wanted to do in the future – what if something I said on my fashion blog came back to bite me when I applied for jobs? Also, my real name is pretty unusual! So instead of using my own name, I chose to write under a generic fake name, one of the most popular names I could think of!
Anyway, College Fashion has grown SO MUCH since I started it, and I’ve grown a lot too. I think it’s finally time to put my real name on it – since I practically reveal every minute detail of my life on my Twitter, and almost everyone who knows me offline knows about this site, putting my real name on here is the next logical step. It just feels more honest not to use a fake name, you know?
So anyway, hi, I’m Zephyr! Yes, Zephyr is my real name. It’s on my birth certificate and I did not make it up :)
I hope the name change won’t be too confusing for those of you who have known me under a different name for these past two years. Nothing else here is going to change – just the name at the top of each post and my email address (it’s zephyr AT collegefashion.net now). I also updated the About Page with a little more info about me too.
Anyway, that’s all! Just wanted to let you all know about the change. Hopefully this will help us all get to know each other even better. Thanks to all of you for being supportive and awesome as always! Fashion articles resume tomorrow :)

Zephyr – is a russian word for marshmallow, this is how you call it in states but it is much more delicious than marshmallow!!! here is the link for it? for you to have an idea how does it look like. I LOVE it in chocolate!

I haven’t commented in a while, so I’m back! I was totally not expecting this post, but I love your name! Does it mean anything? My asian name means purple jade, which I love and it’s ironic that make favorite colors are purple and green. Would you ever consider posting a picture? Because I had a picture of a person in my head, now it’s gone-I want to know what an awesome Zephyr looks like. My english name is generic but it’s a lot easier to say than my Asian name! I use the shortened version of my english name online. It’s less generic than the full version plus more security for me.

Just wanted to give you a quick shout out. I stumbled across your blog at its infancy and it’s been great to watch it progress. I have a very unique name as well and usally comment under my middle name or an alias. The field I am about to enter requires me to not have a big presence on the web for my future client’s sakes, so that’s my reasoning.
We’re also the same year in school and fellow New Englanders so I feel we have a lot in common! Glad you shared your name, I’m pretty sure it was one of my GRE words…it means a gentle breeze, correct?
