While we love a good leopard print here at CF, this summer is all about borrowing from another member of the animal kingdom: snakes!

Snake print has gained popularity after appearing in numerous spring runway shows, while celebs have recently been spotted rocking this print on the red carpet. Now that snake print pieces are finally trickling down to retailers, fashionistas everywhere can test out this summer trend.

The print has a sultry and mysterious vibe, making it the perfect choice to add a little edge to your wardrobe. Snake print may seem a little intimidating to wear, but it’s actually super-easy to pull off!

Not sure if it’s right for you? Before you write it off, read on for some budget-friendly snake print clothes and accessories as well as outfits for inspiration:

How to Wear Snake Print

Need a little outfit inspiration before you’re ready to rock some snake print? Here are two ways to incorporate this trend into your wardrobe:

Outfit Idea #1

Snake print outfit 1
Scarf, Top, Sunglasses, Sandals, Shorts, Bracelet

A great way to wear this trend for daytime is by rocking a snake print accessory, like this lightweight summer scarf. Pair it with some laid-back summer basics like a breezy top and high-waisted denim shorts. Add a splash of color with some comfy sandals, like this pair from Target. Finally, accessorize with some classic Wayfarers and a unique cuff bracelet.

Outfit Idea #2

Dress, Earrings, Clutch, Belt, Wedges

Isn’t this snake print dress awesome? Its neutral color and subtle pattern make it a versatile piece that can be styled countless ways. However, for this look, I chose items to style the dress for a fun night out. Wear the dress with a wide belt in order to cinch the waistline and add some interest. Then add some edge with cool wedges and a sleek clutch. Since the rest of the outfit is so bold, you just need some delicate earrings to complete this look.

What do you think?

Would you wear snake print? Do you like this trend? Which piece is your favorite? As always, leave a comment and let me know your thoughts!

The easiest way to wear this trend is with a dress. I bought a beautiful purple snake skin maxi dress at macys for $25 !

I think it can be easy to overdo the print, but I like the subtleties in the scarf, so I think it works really well as an accent. And I love that dress!

Oh gosh the first thing I thought when I saw this post was when J Lo wore head to toe snake skin/print recently. I really like these outfits! Those snake print shorts are pretty cool too.

More of a leopard print person, but that’s just me. I don’t mind it though

Snake print is definitely not for me. Although I find it cute when styled properly, I cant help but feel like it can very easily be tacky.

I feel like snakeskin is perfect when it’s not the statement piece. When it compliments whatever you’re wearing it looks great, but if you wear all snakeskin and accessories to match it might just look tacky.

I totally love this trend. I have a metallic silver betsey johnson tote. Its subtle, yet makes a statement with its mix of golds and silvers! Definitely try it all you other fashionistas!
