Spring fashion trends can be a bit of a crapshoot for anyone who works in an office. Some years, there are trends that translate well to the office, like shirtdresses, low heels, and chic suiting. Other years give us culottes, cut-outs, and cold shoulders. Much helpful. Such office friendly. Wow.

Luckily, there are a bunch of cute trends this spring that translate well for us werking ladies, from updated white button-downs and dainty florals to colorful stripes and femme ruffles. Just save the sequins and mesh for the weekend.

Pretty Pleats

Products: Skirt, turtleneck, heels, lipstick, belt, rings, bag

Micropleats are going to be huge this spring and were seen on runways adorning everything from boxy blouses to floaty maxi-dresses. A pleated maxi-skirt can read a bit casual, especially in a girly color like blush or rose quartz, so pair it with your trusty turtleneck to for an unexpected but work-appropriate look.

A trendy tie-up heel in a cognac suede adds a bit of texture and intrigue, while neutral accessories with trendy touches, like an embossed skinny belt and a fringe-y cream colored bag, complement your skirt without competing. Finish the look with a cute nude lipstick for a sweet touch.

Bold Stripes

Products: Dress, blazer, lipstick, bangle, tights, heels, bag

Big, bold, and colorful stripes are one of the most fun trends we saw on the runways this spring, and they are also one of the easiest to pull off. A colorful dress with flattering, crisscrossing stripes does the work for you!

To make this colorful dress work-appropriate, pair with conservative accessories like a black blazer, opaque tights, and black booties. A bold silver bangle adds a bit of bling while a punchy statement tote provides a complementary color to keep this look from being too matchy-matchy. A final swipe dark lipstick adds an unexpected, vampy element.

Romantic Ruffles

Products: Earring jackets, blouse, pants, bag, eyeshadow, necklace, flats

Structured and romantic ruffles both made an appearance at fashion week, both of which are perfect trends to try at work. Kill two birds with one stone and opt for a ruffled white blouse to cash in on the updated white blouse trend.

This blouse will pair with anything, but try a pair of white pants in a dainty floral print with a sweet, vintage vibe. Add dainty jewelry like gold ear jackets and a dangly necklace. To add a bit of edge to this look, try moodier colored accessories, like a blood red bag and fawn flats.
