Fabulous Find of the Week: Target Dress
This week’s Fabulous Find comes from a place that I’m sure (if you’re anything like me) a majority of you find yourself pretty often – Target! Even if I’m going there for something boring, like toilet paper or garbage bags, I can’t resist taking a little stroll through the clothing section.
Target is always great for finding basics – like tanks, tees, cardigans, and simple little dresses like this one! I love the bright orange color for summer, but the dress comes in many others if you wanna go for a different look (or get multiples!) This dress is definitely worth the $18 – there a hundreds of ways to wear it, and it can work for any season! Whether you’re rocking it during summer with some cute sandals, or brightening up your winter wardrobe with some tights and a scarf, this dress is a total must-have.

Outfit Inspiration
Below, I’ve created three looks with this dress – one basic, everyday look, one boho-chic look, and one dressy night out look – to get your inspiration going.
1. Casual Chic

Dress, Sandals, Earring, Sunglasses
This look showcases a really simple way to wear this dress in summer – by adding a pair of braided leather sandals, a single feather earring (is anyone else completely obsessed with these?!) and a pair of old-school tortoiseshell wayfarers, you’ll be all set for a trendy music festival or simply running errands.
2. Boho Fabulous

Dress, Scarf, Sandals, Vest, Bangles
Meeting the girls for lunch? Here’s a cute way to give this dress a boho-chic feel, while keeping it simple and casual. Add a crochet vest to break up the orange and tie in a bit of this summer’s crochet trend. Accessorize with these grayish-brown ankle wrap sandals, plenty of bangles, and – if you wish to add even more color and interest – a patterned, tasseled scarf.
3. Lovely in Leopard

Dress, Wedges, Ring, Lipstick, Belt
You can NEVER go wrong with leopard print if you ask me, so why not spice up this dress for a night out with a pair of sky-high leopard print wedges? Nothing says “going out” like animal print, studs, spikes, and a great big pop of color, so rock it!
Your thoughts?
There you have it- three cute ways to wear this insanely affordable and cute dress. So now it’s time for you guys to tell me what YOU think: Which look was your favorite? Would you wear any of these? How would YOU style this dress? Let me know!

I’m in a sorority, and we actually had to buy this dress in black for recruitment. I’ve been thinking about ways to wear it after recruitment, and these ideas definitely helped! thanks :)
oh and btw, we are wearing ours with a black cami underneath (to keep it classy), black jeweled sandals and turquoise jewelry, in case anyone wants to try that look :)
Gabriela
I wanted to know where are the wedges from? something is wrong with the link and I fell in love with them.

I own this dress in black and pink and I absolutely love it! I’ve gotten lots of compliments from both guys and girlfriends. It is super comfy and can easily be dressed up and dressed down. Like Emily said, to keep it classy I usually wear a cami underneath. I would highly recommend this dress! Great pick!

I am SO happy that you did a feature on these kimono dress! :D I have this dress in a lot of colors and I’ve had fun styling them. They’re great to take into Fall and Winter with tights, too…I wore a red one with bright red plaid tights and a grey cardigan one time. I’ve also worn them with black boots in colder seasons, too.
Thanks for posting this!

I have this dress in three colors: grey, deep blue, and hot pink. It’s perfect for just about everything! It’s the perfect layering dress, because it’s pretty plain (depending on the color), and you can dress it up or dress it down any way you’d like. I typically consider these more casual dresses, but one day I wore the blue one with black and gold accessories and had everyone asking why I was so dressed up! The only downside of these dresses is that you pretty much have to wear a cami underneath (at least I do), and I always get that bunched up fabric underneath, which doesn’t look very nice with the kimono waist. Oh, well, these are still great!

SOOO Creative! Great use of accessories! I have to learn how to put together outfits like this.

Yes, I’ve had this dress in grey for 4 years and always look for new ways to style it, as it’s my favorite casual dress! Anyway, I love wearing it with a scarf but I’ll have to try it with my crochet vest. Thanks

I have this dress in black and wore it to a wedding last summer with black pumps, gold earrings, and a chunky gold bangle. Love!

I have this dress in white. Unfortunately, it’s completely see through so I use it as a beach coverup.
Janneke

There was a typo in the beginning. “There a hundreds…” should be “There are hundreds…”
Danielle

Laura

loooove this dress. just bought the black & it’s on sale at my Target for 15 bucks! can’t beat that :)
Sita
I love the model of this dress and I’ve been searching for a dress like this in black for a long time. Sadly Target doesn’t ship to Europe:( Does anyone know another website where they sell these dresses and ship internationally?
alex
That lipstick is $45. I find this ironic because it is in a fabulous find post, which is usually about a great “steal” item.
I love this site because I love fashion and style, but am a broke college student. I love seeing resourceful ways to be fashionable. This is why it is painful for me to look at this post and see a lipstick that would cost me almost 5 hours of salary at my average college student part-time job.
I think all the outfits are great though, especially the orange with the leopard print wedges.
