Uggs are nothing but glorified house slippers. I have a pair but never wear them out. The only shoes nastier than them are crocs. SO WHY DO I LOVE THEM SO MUCH!? Don’t know.

ugg was first but not in this style, im from down under and everyone wears them. its not a fashion statement, ther comfy as but they also dont look too bad if youve grown up styling them.

I think the reason people think these are cute, is because they show more of boot like shape. Uggs make feet look like inflated marshmallows. The Livs look much better, and are just as warm.

I really do think you should have mentioned LIVS in correction to mixing them up with Uggs as well, because the crochet boots a lot of celebrities wear are actually LIVs. But this is probably too late a post to comment on. So I just wanted to rant about how much I really like my LIVs boots. LIVs are very cute quality boots made in America. I originally had a pair of UGGs for the winter a few years back, because they were very warm. But for a casual spring look, LIVs boots are definitely the better, they let your feet breath and allow you to have a cozy look without being so sloppy. I have tried on the UGGs version of the crochet boot and did not like it as much, it was not as soft, and definitely did not look as good. (for anyone who doesn’t own, you probably think they are all the same, but there were some big differences)

Anyway, after buying the LIVs boots as slippers, they were so comfortable and cute that I ordered two more pairs to wear out. It is three years later and these are still cool and haven’t gone out of style. In fact, I get at least one compliment every week on my LIVs boots when I do wear them.

When is this look going to go out? I really have no complaints because I am glad comfort is so in for a change.

Australians don’t “laugh hysterically at american teenagers/women wearing them as a fashion statement .” Australians actually like Ugg boots. They’re really popular in Australia and is probably one of the most popular boots that is worn in the streets. I personally don’t like them and DO NOT own one, but I would know because I live in Australia.

i got these really good deal of uggs for $70 and they’re tall crochet chestnut uggs. they’re comfortable! the only thing that bugs me is that it gets lose in a matter of time so it’ll hang while you’re walking if you don’t fold it. but it’s good.
