Actually, adding a drop of olive oil and a drop of lemon juice on an ice cube every night and passing it through your face works like magic. It takes away redness and swelling...and it makes your skin soft because of the oil.

Katie - I have never tried her cleanser so I don't know how that ranks, but in general I find her products are less drying and gentler on the skin than most acne systems I've tried, yet they work even better! There are way fewer harsh ingredients, fragrances, etc. in Paula's products, which I find makes them much less irritating and drying.

How would you compare Paula's Choice products to more mainstream face cleanser brands? (Harsher than Neutrogena, less drying than Clean & Clear, etc.) I'm still trying to find a process that works for me and all these recs sound great, but I just want to hear more before I spring for it!

Also, she seems to have a wide variety based on very specific skin type descriptions, and I never know what kind of skin I actually have. Do any of y'all experience mild, but regular to the point of constant, breakouts and have a type to recommend?

Tiffany - I used to have REALLY bad acne in high school and had to go on prescription medication (Accutane) to get it to clear to a manageable level. Over the past few years I've noticed my acne returning a bit, which is common a few years after taking prescription medications (it's not nearly as bad as before, though - mostly just stress and hormone-related breakouts on my chin/cheek area - still enough to be very annoying for me, though), so I decided to give Paula's system a try. Right now I use her 2% BHA gel, followed by her CLEAR Blemish Fighting Solution. For moisturizer I use olive oil at night and Paula's Choice Barely There Sheer Matte Tint SPF 20 during the day. For cleanser, I use Cetaphil cleanser in the morning and makeup removing wipes at night. I literally do not get breakouts (if I am consistently sticking to this routine) at ALL anymore, and it's honestly the first time in my life that my skin has been this under control. I'm not sure if these products will be the answer for everyone but they have worked really well for me! Lmk if you want more info!

Preye - I'm not sure - I know they have great customer support, though, so I'm sure they'd be able to tell you if you ask! Sorry I can't help more with that.

If you like the free people skirt but don't want to pay that much check out their sale section for the "Epiphany Convertible Circle Skirt". It's a dress, a skirt and a top! And its only $30!
I own it and I LOVE it.

Re: the Paula's Choice acne treatment... I've been struggling with acne for years and so far the only thing that's been effective is a prescription topical treatment called Duac... aside from that I feel like I've tried literally everything, including birthy control. Paula's line seems really promising but before I splurge on the full system, I was wondering if you could comment on your history with acne and which of her products worked for you? Feel free to shoot me an email :) Thanks!
