Fabulous Find of the Week: Old Navy Boyfriend Skinny Khakis

Brightly-colored pants are everywhere this season and for this week’s Fabulous Find, I found a super-trendy and budget-friendly pair of neon coral khakis.

These Old Navy trousers are a cropped “boyfriend skinny” style, making them the perfect mix of casual and polished. Also, these are the type of pants I can see working with a lot of different fashion aesthetics — from boho, to classic, to feminine — meaning these khakis are so, so versatile.

Not a fan of coral? No worries, Old Navy has a bunch more colors — neutrals and brights — in stock over on the site. Simply scroll on down to check out the trousers, as well as three cute ways to style this Fab Find for spring:

Outfit Inspiration

If you like these on-trend and inexpensive trousers, then you’re going to love the outfits we put together for inspiration. Read on to find out three stylish ways to wear this week’s Fabulous Find:

Outfit #1: Trendy Meets Timeless

Old navy skinny khakis, striped tee, loafers, statement necklace
Product Info: Pants- Old Navy, Top- LOFT, Necklace- Sosie, Bag- Forever 21, Shoes- Free People

This first outfit blends classic pieces with trendy touches to create a chic and casual look. Start by pairing the khakis with a Breton striped tee, then add an on-trend pop of color by accessorizing with a mint green statement necklace. Loafers continue the casual vibe — I love how these ones from Free People incorporate all of the colors found in the ensemble. Lastly, grab a timeless black satchel bag.

Outfit #2: Girly & Colorful

Old navy skinny khakis, lace top, wedges, metallic clutch, coral earrings
Product Info: Pants- Old Navy, Top- Jack Wills, Earrings- Vince Camuto, Shoes- Charlotte Russe, Bag- Gap, Ring- Shopbop

For this ensemble, pair the trousers with a delicate crochet blouse for a fun, yet feminine feel. Cobalt wedges are perfect for springtime, while coral-hued drop earrings add an additional dose of color. Accessorize with a glam metallic envelope clutch and cute, arrow-shaped earrings to complete this look. This outfit would be a stylish choice for a lunch date or even a low-key night out.

Outfit #3: Boho Casual

Old navy skinny khakis, printed blouse, round sunglasses, ankle boots
Product Info: Pants- Old Navy, Top- Forever 21, Bag- Nine West, Shoes- Aldo, Sunglasses- ASOS, Bracelets- Aeropostale

Give our Fab Find a boho spin with this final look. Pair the pants with a printed chambray blouse that has an easygoing vibe, as well as a pair of low-heeled ankle booties. Incorporate another pattern with this abstract-print bag, then accessorize with a set of stacked bracelets. For the finishing touch, slip on a pair of on-trend round sunglasses.

I know this is nitpicky, but on a style and fashion website there should be a noted difference between “Khaki” and “Chino.” “Khaki” is a color, “Chino” is a style of pant. (Sorry it’s a bit of a weird pet peeve of mine) Nice post over all, but attention to detail, please!

oh, no way. I’ve been on the lookout for some classic neutral khakis and didn’t even see these last time I was at Old Navy. if I can find them at one near me, I might be picking up a few colors!

Love these pants! I picked up a pair in every color. They really are versatile. I wore my reddish-orange pants today with a navy blue top, wedge ankle boots from Toms, and a butterfly scarf from ON. Got lots of compliments.
Thanks for the new suggestions on how to wear the pants.

@Tay- Since Old Navy labels these pants as “khakis” on the site, I decided to label them as such. Definitely see where you’re coming from though!

I got pants that fit like this from H&M and I was like, “These are too big on my butt and too short. Wut?” For some reason, I bought them anyway. Good to know it’s a “thing”! haha I’ll try some of these styling suggestions :)

Love these boyfriend skinny pants. The bright colors are great, imperial green, rebellion red, sauerkraut, bright neon pink and finding neon, and neutrals too. Great find.

Can’t decide which outfit I like the best! I think Trendy Meets Timeless is most similar to my style, though…can’t wait to wear something similar once it gets a little warmer.

P.S. According to Wikipedia’s entry on khakis (100% reliable, I know), “Today, the term can refer to the fabric and style of trousers based on this older model, also called “chinos”, rather than their color.”

I’m not much one for khaki’s. They cut me off and make me look even shorter! I won’t be trying these.
