So I’m pretty used to just wearing uniforms to class and this year I will be a freshman and have to worry about what to wear. I love putting outfits together but I’m just worried if what I put together will not be casual enough for class. Is an outfit like a cotton dress and flats too dressy?

Iris – Aw, yay! I’m glad you like the site – I actually created it in the first place because I realized that there’s basically nothing out there for college girls who are interested in fashion. Now there is :)

Also, I don’t mind at all & you aren’t stealing my thunder, haha. Your advice is actually some of what I do when I’m researching trends. Most of what I write about on here comes from runway photos on style.com, but sometimes I look to other people’s writeups of the trends and google searches as well.

I discovered this blog a week ago, and have finished reading all of your entries. I’m amazingly impressed and GLAD that such an informative and fun blog like yours exists. It’s so hard to find great and relevant fashion advice for someone like me, since I find myself dressing more sophisticated than the rest of my high school schoolmates by accident haha. Right now I’m trying to put together outfits I can wear well into college :D So in the end, thanks a whole bunch!

P.S. There are incredible links for fall trends out there, like the normal standbys Elle and Style, and while researching fall trends, I usually used the key words “fall fashion trend 2008″ and then added an extra word like “color” or a major trend word to find more info. Not trying to steal your thunder, but just wanting to help contribute to a guaranteed great article :D Hope you don’t mind.
