Hautelinks - your weekly source for the best of the web

Before we get into our usual weekly list, I just wanted to take a moment to talk about Alexander McQueen. For those of you who haven't heard, the designer passed away earlier today, in an act that marks a crushing loss for the fashion industry and those who loved him.

McQueen was one of those designers who set the bar for the rest of the industry. He never followed the crowd and was constantly innovative, boundary-pushing, and truly a cut above the rest. Whether you were a fan of his work or not, if you love fashion, it's impossible not to appreciate his incredible legacy. He will truly be missed.

And now back to our regularly scheduled programming...
