Music’s biggest stars came together last night for the 55th annual Grammy Awards and — of course–  we have tons of red carpet fashion to discuss! Let’s get to it:

Top 5 Best-Dressed

Here are my picks for best dressed at this year’s Grammy Awards, in no particular order:

Kelly Rowland in Georges Chakra Couture

We’re glad Kelly Rowland decided to ignore CBS’s Grammy “Wardrobe Advisory”, because she looked drop-dead gorgeous in this couture gown from Georges Chakra. The daring dress featured eye-catching, sheer cutouts, as well as a tulle mermaid skirt, which Kelly accessorized with on-trend emerald statement jewelry.

Taylor Swift in J. Mendel

Taylor Swift exuded elegance last night in a lovely white gown from J. Mendel. This Grecian-style frock would have been stunning on its own, but the metallic trim around the front and back really took it to the next level. Taylor complemented the ethereal look with a romantic braided updo and understated jewelry.

Carrie Underwood in Roberto Cavalli

Carrie Underwood shimmered yesterday in a black Cavalli gown that was anything but basic. Between the intricate beading, sparkly sequins and lacy detailing, this dress was the definition of opulent. Carrie also paired it with a showstopping 381 carat diamond necklace (valued at $31 million, FYI) and dark smokey eye.

Rihanna in Custom Azzedine Alaïa

Rihanna looked radiant on the red carpet last night in this one-of-a-kind, custom-made Alaïa gown. This vibrant red dress was semi-sheer, but not in a way that was vulgar or over-the-top. All in all, Rihanna’s look was the perfect mix of glam and sultry. She even matched her mani and lipstick to her crimson-colored gown!

Allison Williams in KaufmanFranco

Girls star Allison Williams tagged along with pal Katy Perry to last night’s ceremony, where she absolutely killed it in a column dress by KaufmanFranco. The strapless gown was embellished with actual black diamonds(!), so Allison opted to tone down the extravagance a bit with a low-key ‘do and a soft pink lip.

Other Notable Ensembles

Whether you liked ’em or not, here are four more Grammy looks that have people talking:

Katy Perry in Gucci

Speaking of Ms. Katy Perry, the singer channeled her inner Priscilla Presley last night in a mint green Gucci gown. The keyhole cutout showed a substantial amount of cleavage, which some thought was over-the-top… but if anyone can pull it off, it’s Katy. We also love the detailing of the embellished neckline — so, so pretty!

Beyoncé in Osman Yousefzada

Instead of the typical gown, Beyoncé rocked a bold jumpsuit at this year’s Grammys. Her trendy black-and-white jumpsuit by designer Osman Yousefzada was a fashion-forward choice, and Bey kept the look modern with matching geometric cuffs and a sleek, center-parted ponytail.

Adele in Custom Valentino Couture

Adele tends to stick with black gowns for red carpet events, so it was refreshing to see her in this brightly-colored couture dress from Valentino. Her custom-made gown was adorned with embroidered flowers, which Adele matched with floral print pumps and bloom-shaped earrings. Fashion commentators had differing options on this dress, but we want to know what you think — do you like that Adele went out of her fashion comfort-zone, or do you prefer her LBDs?

Jennifer Lopez in Anthony Vaccarello

J. Lo showed some serious leg (and arm) in this asymmetrical black gown by designer Anthony Vaccarello. The one-shouldered dress had plenty of sex appeal, which Jennifer complemented with some killer ankle cuff sandals, luxe jewelry and trendy top knot.

Least Favorite Look

You know we can’t love everything we see on the red carpet. Here’s one look that just missed the mark for me last night.

Florence Welch in Custom Givenchy

When I first spotted Florence Welch in this custom Givenchy gown on the red carpet,  I was torn between loving it and hating it — I loved the idea of sequin-covered spikes, but I didn’t like the gown’s reptilian vibe. While the emerald hue looks amazing against Florence’s red locks, I also wasn’t a fan of the matchy-matchy green sequined shoes and clutch. One thing’s for sure, though: this ensemble fits the Florence + The Machine singer’s unique sense of style to a “T”.

  1. I thought Carrie Underwood and Allison Williams looked so tasteful and stylish. Definitely my favorites. The material and color of Florence’s dress was gorgeous, but the spikes ruined it for me.

  2. Even though Adele’s dress wasn’t super flattering, I like it because it highlights her fun and cool attitude–she’s like, “I’m Adele, I do what I want, and today I’m wearing a flowery Grandma dress to the Grammy’s and you all are still going to adore me!” Hehe!

I’m usually just so-so on T-Swift’s fashion choices, but I LOVED what she wore to the Grammy’s this year.

As for J-Lo–the dress perfectly suits her style and personality, but I thought her hair was awful. Why didn’t she do a full, artsy sock bun? The bun she’s rocking looks like how I wear my hair when I’m taking a shower and desperately trying to not let my hair get wet–haha!

  3. Okay, can we talk about Carrie Underwood’s dress for her on stage performance? That is officially on my Christmas list because WOW. Back on topic, Adele’s dress was so much fun, it made me happier just looking at it!

  4. Taylor’s dress is just too old and too ugly. Florence Welch’s dress looks like she’s sprouting alien warts on her chest. JLo is trying too hard, as usual. Carrie’s (red carpet version), Rihanna’s and Katy’s (with a little less boob) dresses were the best IMO. Actually, this is the most normal Katy’s looked in a while.

  5. I love Welch’s dress! I thought the worst one was Kimbra’s dress. http://www.glamour.com/images/fashion/2013/02/kimbra-grammys-jamie-lee-h724.jpg When she won the award with Goyte I couldn’t believe how crazy she looked.

  6. Hands down, Carrie Underwood.

She exudes elegance, class, and beauty. She shows that you can be sexy without randomly sticking out your leg (a ‘la J-LO) just for the sake of it.

  7. I actually really hated Adele’s dress, she looks so much better in her black dresses. I think the shape looks nice but I wish it was in black or pretty much anything but that print. That print just looks terrible on most likely everyone. I just reminds me of upholstery or drapes that I’d want to steer clear of.
