Chloé’s Fall 2013 collection was all about playing with contrast: It featured tailored pieces mixed with flowing fabrics, classic wardrobe staples juxtaposed with of-the-moment-trends, and masculine elements paired with more feminine ones. And, of course, all of those components blended together perfectly to create chic and autumnal runway looks.

Love this collection, but not the sky-high designer prices? You’re in luck! Below, we’ll show you three budget-conscious outfits inspired by looks from Chloé Fall 2013 RTW:

1. Traditional Meets Trendy

At first glance, this Chloé ensemble looks oh-so classic, but it’s the trendy details that really make this look stand out. The combination of a sheer polka dot blouse and leather pencil skirt is chic and not at all over-the-top thanks to the outfit’s more conservative silhouette.

For a similar outfit, start by tucking a polka dot blouse into a faux leather pencil skirt. Layer on a navy blue coat, then grab some sturdy ankle boots for an autumnal feel. An orange handbag adds a bright pop of color, while silver midi rings add the finishing touch to this ensemble.

2. Borrowed from the Boys

Menswear-inspired looks are popular for fall, and we’re loving this slouchy yet stylish outfit from Chloé. Pairing loose-fitting trousers with a knit sweater and oxfords makes for a comfy and casual look that’s right on-trend this season.

Oversize leather trousers aren’t the most practical choice for the average college student, so reinterpret this runway look with a pair of cuffed boyfriend jeans. Pair the jeans with a graphic paneled sweater and some lace-up brogues. A chain-strap handbag picks up on the color of the shoes, while rabbit-shaped earrings add a touch of quirk.

3. Party Time

On the other side of the style spectrum, this girly yet polished ensemble would be perfect for an upcoming holiday soirée. The tulle skirt definitely makes a statement, while the white blazer adds both contrast and structure to the rest of the look.

Recreate this look by pairing a voluminous tulle skirt with a black silk blouse and a tailored white blazer. To stay true to the runway outfit, we opted for oxfords – we really love the juxtaposition of a menswear-inspired shoe with a feminine skirt. But, if that’s not your style, you could easily swap the oxfords out for ballet flats, pumps, or even ankle booties.

As far as accessories go, a bib necklace adds a hint of sparkle, while a sleek velvet clutch really plays up the holiday vibe of the ensemble.
