I’m gonna be honest: I had never heard of the fashion line Bally up until a couple weeks ago. I’m totally glad I stumbled upon it, however, because Bally’s Spring 2015 RTW collection is the perfect mix of casual and work wear.
I love that each piece could be worn both at your internship and a Saturday morning brunch with friends. With an eclectic but fabulous mix of chunky sweaters, boyfriends jeans, blazers, and high-slit pencil skirts, every look was drool-worthy. In fact, I was truly so ready to recreate every outfit for this post.
Are you coveting Bally’s spring looks but can’t do so on a college budget? Keep reading for three wallet-friendly outfits inspired by the collection.
1. Emerald City
Emerald green has always been a favorite color of mine. It’s dark enough to appease my mostly neutral closet but is a definite step up from basic black. This is my favorite outfit from the collection– the borrowed-from-the-boys influence is one to truly embrace.
Get the Look:
Recreate the designer ensemble by pairing a cream-hued top with light-wash, distressed boyfriend jeans. Slip on an emerald green blazer, as well as a tan belt and strappy heels. Match the blazer with this structured bag, then grab dark sunglasses before finishing your outfit with a pale pink lip.
2. Pink and Blues
I love the mix of styles within this outfit: the preppy pink sweater, the casual denim, the edgy blazer and heels. Despite this mishmash, the outfit works and will definitely turn heads on the street!
Get the Look:
Pick a darker wash pair of boyfriend jeans, then slip on a chambray shirt under a pink sweater; roll up your sleeves like in the original ensemble. Tie a black-and-white blazer around your waist before choosing strappy black heels. For the finishing touch, grab a teal-colored crossbody bag.
3. Sophisticated Snake Print
Snake print can sometimes seem too edgy for a daytime outfit. However, the classic silhouette and open-toed sandals create a perfectly laid-back vibe that can be used for both a casual work setting or a day of shopping.
Get the Look:
Channel Bally Spring 2015 with a snake print shift dress; the one we chose is a bit more casual than the original look but has the same polished feel. Slide into wine-colored sandals and choose a similar-colored bag. Protect your eyes from the summer sun with oversized sunglasses, then complete the look with gold-toned jewelry and a coral lip.
