Celebrity Street Style of the Week: Vanessa Hudgens, Olivia Palermo, & Jessica Alba

Celebrity Street Style of the Week: Vanessa Hudgens, Olivia Palermo, & Jessica Alba

Every week, I scour the web to find inspiring outfits on your favorite celebs and help you recreate their looks! This week, I was inspired by Vanessa Hudgens, Olivia Palermo, and Jessica Alba. Read on to see how you can get their looks for yourself.

Look 1: Vanessa Hudgens’s Vintage-Inspired Cool

Vanessa Hudgens knows how to dress to stand out in a crowd with her vintage-inspired, free spirited looks. This week, she wore an outfit perfect for the transition from summer to fall, rocking some high-waisted shorts, a crop top, an oversize army jacket, round sunglasses, and knee-high gladiator sandals.

I love this look for its trendiness. Knee-high gladiator sandals have been spotted on tons of celebs this fashion week (in high heel forms, as well) and they instantly make any outfit eye-catching. In addition, Vanessa’s look is super laid-back; it would work especially well for an outdoor music festival.

Vanessa’s outfit has a bit of a hippe vibe to it thanks to vintage-inspired pieces like the high-waisted jean shorts, the gladiator sandals, and the oversize army jacket. This floral print chiffon crop tank is a bit more feminine than Vanessa’s, which adds a nice contrast to the more rugged oversize surplus jacket. They pair nicely together, though, revealing just a hint of skin. These knee-high gladiator sandals make a big statement just like Vanessa’s, and rounded sunglasses add yet another retro-inspired vibe to the look.

Look 2: Olivia Palermo’s Chic White NYFW Ensemble

This past week, New York Fashion Week was in full swing, and every fashionista was in attendance, including one of New York’s most recognizable and chic socialites, Olivia Palermo.

This week, Olivia wore an all-white ensemble (proving the no-white-after-Labor-Day rule is silly) consisting of a polka dot button-down shirt, ruffled pencil skirt, a two-tone white and orange clutch, and some cool mirrored sunglasses. Olivia’s outfit is refined and ladylike, but also has a modern flair thanks to her accessories.

This might not be as versatile as some of the other looks we feature, but it’s Fashion Month and I couldn’t resist throwing in a look inspired by NYFW!

This outfit would turn heads at any event that requires some dressing up, and even some office environments (though I don’t know how these heels would fare for a full day of work). This white fit-and-flare skirt from Zara pairs perfectly with the polka dot button-down shirt, and don’t forget to add a white belt around your waist like Olivia did. Accessorize with gold bracelets, a two-tone clutch (this one is neon pink and white, a super modern color combo), some strappy heels (black heels really make a color pop against the all-white), and some awesome blue mirrored sunglasses.

Look 3: Jessica Alba’s Fun Flares

Jessica Alba, always a trendsetter, rocked a fun look this week, consisting of a long white t-shirt, an unbuttoned plaid shirt, and some eye-catching, vintage-inspired flared jeans.

Flared jeans have slowly been making their way back onto the fashion scene, and I’m all for it – sometimes your tried-and-true skinny jeans can get boring. Flared jeans will have you standing out in the crowd, yet still looking relaxed and casual.

The number one component of Jessica’s outfit is of course, some dark flared jeans. Opt for a dark wash, which keeps the pants looking modern.

Many of today’s flared jeans need to be worn with chunky heels like wedges, in order to let the cut of jeans move freely (and avoid pooling at the bottoms).  For this look, I like these strappy brown faux-leather wedges, which have a vintage feel to them but are still recent and trendy looking, which is the vibe of the whole look.

Now it’s time to finish the look! Wear an oversize white t-shirt like Jessica, and add a long pendant necklace to spice it up.  Finally, rock a plaid shirt unbuttoned over the t-shirt to add some fun print and color to the outfit.

Oh really like the last outfit! Have grown to love flared pants, would be awesome if you could do some outfit ideas based on that. :D

Olivia made that skirt look good! I’ve been somewhat hesitant to wear my fit and flare. Now I’m inspired

You think Jessica Alba could afford to have her jeans hemmed. The length is totally wrong; you can’t even see her shoes.

Don’t get me wrong, I generally really like the outfits for inspiration, but I feel like the same five or ten celebrities are just cycled through this series…
