Celebrity Street Style of the Week: Taylor Swift, Sophia Bush, & Mandy Moore
Every week, I scour the web to find inspiring outfits on your favorite celebs and help you recreate their looks! This week, I was inspired by Taylor Swift, Sophia Bush and Mandy Moore. Read on to see how you can get their looks for yourself.
Look 1: Taylor Swift’s Retro-Inspired Ensemble

Taylor Swift recently showed off her fun, retro-inspired sense of style in an eye-catching sweater with oversize polka dots (and a fun cat detail near the left shoulder), maroon trousers, black ballet flats, and classic Wayfarer sunglasses.
Her look is a great example of an outfit that’s bold without being the slightest bit edgy or provocative – why not try it for a day on campus?

These pleated maroon trousers can be dressed down or up, and could easily be worn to an internship or casual workplace. They’re especially cute, though, when paired with a polka dot sweater – this one features playful skulls in the midst of the dots, giving it a modern twist. Black ballet flats and wayfarer sunglasses keep with the classic aspect of the look, and a structured brown satchel finishes off the outfit.
Look 2: Sophia Bush’s Night Out Look

Sophia Bush was spotted out for a night on the town looking chic in a bright yellow leather skirt, paired with a casual gray t-shirt, nude and black ankle strap heels, a snakeskin clutch, and a cool pendant necklace.
I absolutely love Sophia’s look – the bright yellow skirt pairs perfectly with the casual gray top, and I love how she incorporated modern touches like the snake print clutch for an enviable street style ensemble.

This bright yellow skirt may not be leather like Sophia’s (those are a bit harder – and more expensive - to come by), but it still features standout details like a high-low hemline and zipper detailing. It, of course, looks awesome when paired with a slouchy gray t-shirt like Sophia’s. Keep accessories high-fashion by adding neutral ankle strap heels and a faux snakeskin clutch. A hanging crystal pendant necklace makes for the perfect finishing touch.
Look 3: Mandy Moore’s Casual Chic Look

Songstress Mandy Moore looked casual yet chic while running errands this week, wearing basic skinny jeans, a gray striped top, leather motorcycle jacket, studded flats, and cool sunglasses. Her look reminds me a bit of Parisian fashion, which favors ankle-length jeans, striped tops, and flats. It’s the perfect example of effortless daytime chic.

A simple striped top and ankle skinny jeans are transformed by edgy studded flats, which are a big trend right now. A motorcycle jacket also lends a toughness to the look, spicing up the simple jeans-and-tee combo. Finally, some unique sunglasses shield your eyes while making a statement.

I love looks 1 and 3! Mandy Moore looks so laid back. I’ve been looking for outfits that have a motorcycle jacket but don’t go overboard with the edginess. That outfit has a lovely balance.

Sophia’s outfit is beautiful!! Definitely an amazing example of a simple but unique and pretty outfit for going out at night. I really love the contrast of the skirt vs. the shirt in both the texture AND the shape. You put together a great replication of her outfit! Good job :)
