Celebrity Street Style of the Week: Leighton Meester, Odette Yustman, & Lauren Conrad
Every week, I scour the web to find inspiring outfits on your favorite celebs and help you recreate their looks! This week, I was inspired by Leighton Meester, Odette Yustman, and Lauren Conrad. Read on to see how you can get their looks for yourself.
Look 1: Leighton Meester is Chic in the City
Gossip Girl‘s Leighton Meester was spotted out this week in a easy combination of a flowy tank top over some dark skinny jeans, accessorized with light brown platform sandals and a straw fedora. The neutral color palette and dark jeans add a chic quality to the casual look. And I am totally lusting over Leighton’s YSL bag — the chocolate brown color is divine!

To recreate Leighton’s outfit, start with a pair of skinny jeans in a dark wash, a combination that’s ultra-flattering on everyone. Wear a flowy tank top in a neutral tone and accessorize with a simple, thin pendant necklace. Other accessories like a straw fedora and some platform sandals up the trendiness of the look, and a brown handbag channels Leighton’s YSL bag… for a fraction of the price.
Look 2: Odette Yustman’s Colorful Combo
Actress Odette Yustman looked ready for summer recently in a colorful skirt and denim jacket, along with some leather sandals and aviator sunglasses. This look is easy and cute — I envision it as the perfect option for a day spent exploring the city. Denim jackets have been coming back into style over the past few seasons, and Odette is just one of the many celebs who have been spotted wearing this trend lately.

This look revolves around a brightly colored skirt — this one from Forever 21 has a bold print which works great with the leather flat sandals. A simple white tank or t-shirt can be tucked into the skirt, and a denim jacket pulls the look together. Finally, aviator sunglasses are a stylish accessory which helps to modernize the look while shielding your eyes from the harsh summer sun.
Look 3: Lauren Conrad’s Ladylike Look
Lauren Conrad was photographed at an event recently where she showed off her simple yet classic fashion sensibility. She chose a timeless color combination – navy with neutrals – and added a pop of color with her signature red lipstick. She wore a navy high-waisted full skirt with a beige blouse tucked in, along with a beige quilted handbag and some beige pumps, which elongated her legs.

Lauren’s look can be made more casual by switching out the pumps and handbag for flats and a perhaps a crossbody bag, but for evening, nude pumps will make your legs look super long. The handbag matches the neutral colors of the shoes and blouse, but has a sparkly finish to it, which glams up the otherwise simple look.

I love Leighton Meester’s look! I’m new here so I might be asking a really silly question now. I love the hat but isn’t it inconvenient especially if you were to go outdoors then indoors? would it be rude to wear hats indoors? and wouldn’t putting the hat back in the bag crumple it? I’m sorry if this sounds silly! =)
