Celebrity Street Style of the Week: LAX Ladies!
Every week, I scour the web to find inspiring outfits on your favorite celebs and help you recreate their looks! This week, LAX airport was the place to be seen, as I was inspired by Diane Kruger, Lauren Conrad, and Leona Lewis, who were all photographed there while traveling. Read on to see how you can get their looks for yourself.
Look 1: Diane Kruger’s Floral & Military Mix
One of my personal faves, Diane Kruger, was photographed with her boyfriend this week, demonstrating how to look effortlessly cute and trendy. She was wearing a light floral dress in shades of purple with a military jacket thrown over it, giving it a tougher, more relaxed vibe. She finished the look off with a straw fedora hat, brown-tinted aviators, and nude flats.

To get Diane’s look, start off with a floral dress — this one from Express has colors similar to Diane’s, but any floral frock will work just as well. A light military jacket or parka over the dress dresses it down for daytime, and accessories like a straw fedora (this one even has stripes in purple and lilac matching the dress) and aviator sunglasses add some flair. As for shoes, go with a nude flat like Diane did, or some flat sandals (if you’re lucky enough to be in really warm weather!).
Look 2: Lauren Conrad Keeps Warm and Chic!
Clearly LAX sees fliers prepared for all sorts of weather — where Diane, above, is ready for spring, Lauren Conrad was dressed more appropriately for the cold East Coast in black leggings, black riding boots, and a thick gray wool belted trench coat, along with a large gray scarf and oversize Balenciaga bag.

A wool trench coat is a great piece to invest in – it will last you for years to come, and can be worn dressed up or dressed down. DKNY’s wool-blend coat, which I chose to feature here, bears a striking similarity to Lauren’s, and has a tie-waist detail which will highlight your waistline so you don’t end up looking bulky or boxy! Lauren’s black leggings have a sheen, like American Apparel’s signature nylon tricot leggings (but of course, plain black leggings will do just fine, too). Black riding-esque boots, a matching gray scarf, and a black holdall or weekender bag add extra polish to the look.
Look 3: Leona Lewis’ Layering
Singer Leona Lewis looked lovely sporting a military parka similar to Diane’s, over a thin sweater, scalloped white dress and sheer tights, along with lace-up boots, a cross-body bag, and a floppy felt hat. Leona’s parka is a bit too large for her and thus doesn’t flatter her frame as well as a smaller one could have; so, to recreate Leona’s look, I am going to use the same jacket I featured above in Diane’s look. (So now you will have two different inspirations for outfits using this jacket or a similar one!)

A white dress (preferably simple on the top, with a ruffled or scalloped edge) will peek out perfectly from a sheer, oversize sweater. The delicate accents are contrasted by the utilitarian jacket and lace-up boots, and the felt floppy hat gives the look a vintage feel.

I dunno, I prefer the outfit that was inspired by Leona than Leona’s actual outfit. My favorite look is Diane Kruger’s. Floral dresses and military jackets always work.
