Celebrity Street Style of the Week: Jamie Chung, Jessica Biel, & Nikki Reed

Every week, I scour the web to find inspiring outfits on your favorite celebs and help you recreate their looks! This week, I was inspired by Jamie Chung, Jessica Biel, and Nikki Reed. Read on to see how you can get their looks for yourself.

Look 1: Jamie Chung’s Cute, Casual Look

Actress Jamie Chung looked cute and casual while out in LA this week. You can’t beat the “jeans, top, and riding boots” combo; it’s a look that works for tons of occasions because it’s relaxed yet put-together. Jamie accessorized her skinny jeans and simple white top with a colorful printed scarf (bringing out the color of her leather knee-high boots), square sunglasses, and a green bag.

You can transform skinny jeans and a simple white top like Jamie did by adding cute, colorful accessories to make the look pop. Brown knee-high riding boots, a green bag, and a colorful printed scarf bring out both the brown and green, making for a put-together look that’s still comfortable. Finish with some cool sunglasses if it’s bright outside!

Look 2: Jessica Biel’s Structured, Neutral Look

Jessica Biel took to the streets of NYC this week in a structured, neutral-toned look that was both casual and chic. She wore a longline navy coat, dark colored skinny jeans, brown ankle booties, a cross-body bag, and a gray beanie hat.

This outfit provides great fashion inspiration for college students: It’s made up of simple pieces, but looks so chic thanks to its almost monochromatic color palette and the cross-body bag’s fun pop of color.

To get Jessica’s look, just pair dark skinny jeans with any kind of classic top (think a white button-down, a sweater, or a long-sleeve shirt). The key piece of the look is a structured navy coat — this one is double-breasted and has a bit of an androgynous feel to it. Brown ankle booties (these have stud detailing on the heels) and a gray beanie hat make this look functional. Finally, use your bag as a way to infuse a little bit of color; we love this mint green satchel for all seasons.

Look 3: Nikki Reed’s Rockstar Daytime Look

This week, actress Nikki Reed proved that rockstar looks can work for daytime, rocking coated black skinnies, a leopard print sweater with leather elbow patches, booties with metal detailing, and a slouchy black bag.

Overall, Nikki’s look has a bit of a wild edge, what with the print of her sweater, the leather look of her jeans, and the shine of her booties. That said, it’s still just comprised of a sweater and jeans – a look you can hang out all day in (and then wear out at night!).

Coated jeans are awesome because they give you the look of leather pants with the comfort – and low price tag – of regular jeans. Pair some black ones with a leopard print sweater (this one has patches of leopard down the sleeves, kind of the inverse of Nikki’s), and some black booties with a slight metal trim. Keep accessories to a minimum since the look is already so bold; a black studded bag and gold pendant necklace are all you’ll need.
