Singer Carly Rae Jepsen looked funky and colorful on Thanksgiving day, wearing red leather pants, a bright indigo coat, a black wool floppy hat, a gray skull scarf, and some cool buckled booties.
As you probably know, the color blocking trend is still going strong for fall, and while you may not initially think to pair red, blue, black, and gray together, Carly demonstrates that they make a great combo. This outfit is also a great example of a way to add a little color to your dark winter wardrobe.

Coat, Jeans, Booties, Scarf, Hat
A brightly colored coat, like this indigo toggle coat, is a great way to brighten up your winter wardrobe. Make a real statement by pairing it with some coated red skinny jeans and some tough-looking black buckled booties. A wool floppy hat is a chic winter accessory, and looks great with a skull print scarf.

Supermodel Miranda Kerr was spotted with her adorable son Flynn out and about in NYC. She rocked a heather gray mini skirt with a blue button down shirt, a black leather biker jacket, and some eye-catching studded booties. Her look is super chic with a downtown vibe – it’d be especially perfect for a night out on the town.

Skirt, Top, Jacket, Booties, Sunglasses
A slouchy heather gray mini skirt is given a downtown vibe with the addition of a denim button-down shirt and a tough-girl biker jacket. Add some black studded ankle boots for a chic boost of height, then go for dark sunglasses for the day like Miranda, or swap them for a cool clutch for a night out.

Actress Annalynne McCord wore an outfit perfect for this time of the year, looking cozy yet still super chic. She paired dark skinny jeans with a long, fringed sweater and perfectly matched knee-high boots, along with aviator sunglasses and an eye-catching red bag.
I love this outfit because it works for most low-key occasions – it’d be great for a casual day out, or even a holiday family get together (especially since heeled boots add a dressed up vibe).

Sweater, Jeans, Boots, Sunglasses, Bag
A long, fringed sweater is a great way to make a statement while keeping warm and cozy. Pair it with a simple top and some dark skinny jeans, adding matching knee-high boots for an upscale look. Choose a handbag in a bright hue like red for a pop of color, and add some aviator sunglasses if you’re out for the day.
