Thanks to its eclectic vibe, fun prints, and impeccable styling, designer Whitney Pozgay’s eponymous line Whit has quickly become one of my favorites. For her spring 2013 collection, Pozgay was inspired by the Caribbean island of St. Lucia and, as such, she created a line filled with breezy pieces, bright colors, and plenty of tropical-inspired prints.

Want to get a designer look for just a fraction of the price? Scroll on down to check out three budget-friendly versions of looks from Whit Spring 2013 RTW:

1. Lounging Poolside

Summer will be here before we know it and this look from Whit has me longing to hit up the nearest body of water. The combination of an open-weave top and printed shorts creates a unique and trendy cover-up that’s perfect for swimsuit season.

For this look, start by pairing an open-weave top and some tropical print shorts with your favorite swimsuit. Coral-colored sandals continue the beachy feel of the outfit, while also adding a fun pop of color. Accessorize with a nautical-inspired rope bracelet, then grab a striped drawstring bag to complete this look.

2. Trendy Meets Casual

If you’ve shied away from the printed pants trend, this look is the ultimate low-key way to test it out! Pairing a bold trouser with a basic white tank and simple shoes allows for the pants to be the true focus of the look.

Recreate this look by pairing a sleeveless white top with bold, printed trousers. These teal-colored sandals not only match the pants, but they’re also a comfy and stylish choice for spring. For the finishing touches, accessorize with a sleek cuff bracelet and a pair of rounded sunglasses.

3. Blue on Blue

Statement necklaces are usually meant to well, make a statement, but Pozgay paired this blue statement necklace with a similarly-colored dress for a subtle yet stylish, richly textured look. In addition, the pink hue on the color-blocked bag provides a nice contrast against the shades of blue.

For this ensemble, start with a blue sundress. This one from Target is similar to the Whit dress in shape, pattern, and color, but costs just $25! Accessorize with a matching blue necklace to make a subtle statement, then add some warm-weather-appropriate espadrilles. Lastly, accessorize with a color-blocked straw handbag, and slip on a pair of retro-inspired shades.
