After featuring fashionstas Kendall and Kylie Jenner, I wanted to feature another set of stylish sisters: Dakota and Elle Fanning.
We took a peek at Dakota’s college-casual street style last month, so next up is her little sis Elle. Though we covered Elle’s style back when she was a pre-teen, it’s evolved a lot since then.
For this A Week in Her Style post, we’ll show you some of the best street style looks this The Great star has worn, as well as a week’s worth of outfit ideas so you can channel Elle’s look this summer:

Monday
A denim mini skirt is totally on-trend and we love how Elle styled hers for summer. This cute and casual on-the-go look is easy to recreate. Just wear a dark wash denim mini with a striped crop top for a breezy, easygoing look.
Classic white Converse are easy to slip on, plus they’re ultra-comfortable. Add a crossbody bag and circle sunnies and you have the perfect chill summer outfit.
Tuesday
Since it can be worn so many different ways, a little white dress is a great piece to have on hand for summer. I like Elle’s dress because it reminds me of the ones on Chloé’s Spring 2015 runway. It has that lacy, grandma’s doily look.
Though I’ve seen them paired with knee-high gladiators, I really love how Elle paired her LWD with knee-high boots and socks. You probably shouldn’t wear the boots when it’s super-hot outside, but on a chillier day it’s the perfect contrast of delicate and rough.
Wednesday
This look may be for cooler weather, but if you nix the coat you have a gorgeous summer outfit. Pair a floral mini skirt with a black top for a classy yet girly ensemble. You’ll look extra chic when you add a pair of floral shoes, as well as a structured white crossbody bag.
Thursday
This is another cool-weather outfit that can easily be mixed up for summer. Start with a sheer blouse (add a cami underneath for coverage) and either dark-colored jeans or shorts.
The standout piece in this look is definitely the bright green coat. We don’t want to scrap that element entirely, so choose a lightweight cardigan in a similar color. Jeweled heels or flats and a top-handle bag add the finishing touches to this sophisticated ensemble.
Friday
One thing I love about Elle is that she isn’t afraid to take style risks. Fringe is a big trend this season and a suede fringed jacket is a great way to jump into the trend.
Dress the jacket down for daytime with a striped tee and dark jeans, then have fun with your footwear. She paired striped socks with peep-toe shoes, but you can also play it safe and forgo the socks. Finish the look with a belt; Elle chose a playful Hello Kitty one, but any belt will do.
Saturday
If you have been paying attention to the fashion world at all lately I am going to assume you know that the ’70s trend is one of the biggest of this season. Elle channeled the decade perfectly in this look, and I love it.
Start with a faux leather, burnt orange mini skirt and pair it with a fun printed jacket (this one reminds me of Elle’s) to create a ’70s vibe. Balance out these bold pieces with a gray tee and brown booties. Groovy.
Sunday
For a empowered look, try a short suit like Elle’s. The red silk blouse really pops against the neutral gray suit. The longer boyfriend-style fit of the jacket gives the look a relaxed feel and is the perfect mix between masculine and feminine. Matching red loafers and a thin black belt finish off the look.
