* I had seen this before, but just in case you haven’t, it’s a totally fabulous trick to know: How to Curl Your Hair with a Flat Iron!

* We heart Lauren Conrad’s tips for organizing your jewelry. How cute is the picture frame idea?

* Swoon: The short version of Kate Moss’ wedding. Love, love, love her gown!

* Another fabulous DIY tutorial to test out: DIY glitter shoes that won’t flake off. Genius!

* Paris VS NYC is an awesome blog full of fab illustrations depicting the differences between the two cities. I still can’t choose between them, though.

* Sally of Already Pretty dishes on happiness and body image. Preach!

* And if you want to feel happier all the time, you might be interested in the scientific benefits of positivity. It really does pay to be optimistic.

* Lernert & Sander’s “Natural Beauty” is fascinating! Dutch artists Lernert and Sander apply a year’s worth of makeup (365 layers) on Belgian supermodel Hannelore Knuts. That’s a lot of product!

* Another fun summer project: Make Your Own Candy! The sugar addict in me freaked out upon seeing this.

* Possibly non-work-safe but super cool: The Real Life Models for Classic Pin-Up Paintings.

* Symmetrical Faces is a really interesting art project. “Photographer Julian Wolkenstein created the project Echoism, in which he put together a mirror image of the left and right half faces of different people. The result is a very different person.”

    I laughed so hard at the Jenna Marbles video (but secretly I plan on employing some of these tricks, haha). Love the Hautelinks posts!

    I’d LOVE it if you ladies did a post on what a not-so-girly-girl could wear to high-end bars and lounges. I just turned 21 and my female friends all wear tight dresses and pumps…..and I’m more of a fan of Troopa boots and skinny jeans (which totally wouldn’t fly there). Help a sista out! I can’t be the only one in this predicament.

    I personally think that Carrie does everything we all wish we could do (which means go crazy about everything). Plus, I think all the other characters are equally as crazy–we just don’t see it.

    i loved the link about american girl magazine! i used to get that all the time as a kid (and thanks to my grandma forgetting to cancel my subscription, up through my high school graduation :/) and i definitely thought some of the same things reading through those magazines as they put in that article. just too funny! loved it!
