In regards to Fifty Shades of Grey, you’re not missing out on anything. I found it needing some severe editing and character depth; to me it just read like mediocre fanfiction that I paid for.

Julia, 50 Shades of Grey actually began as Twilight fanfiction, in case you didn’t know. I read some parts online and didn’t like the writing, but when I heard it was fanfic I definitely couldn’t bring myself to read it.

In regards to the 50 Shades comment, I haven’t read it either and also feel like I’m the only person in the world who hasn’t! Even my boyfriends mom has…which has resulted in some seriously awkward conversations. Thanks for another awesome HauteLinks!

Haven’t read 50 Shades of Grey, and don’t intend to.

Also, I was amused by your “Styling bookshelves” link. If I style my bookshelves, it usually consists of rearranging the books so that I can wedge more books on top of them :)

Loved the absence notes! I work in the front office of a school, and I see some really funny excuses on late slips sometimes. I’ve seen “french toast,” “my sister was drinking her milk slowly,” and “oversleept.” The cutest one was “breakfast date with Daddy.”

I too have not read 50 Shades, and definitely do not feel like I’m missing out on anything.
