Thanks for posting that about Forever 21. Even if it's been mentioned before else, it doesn't reach most consumers. It's important for shoppers to know what kind of practices they are supporting with their cash, and sometimes a reminder is needed.

Regarding the blonde warrior article, I actually go to UCSB (the school that conducted the study), so I became curious about the Professor who led the study, and looked him up....I found this: http://www.psych.ucsb.edu/research/cep/ResponseToTimes.html

Apparently, he never actually mentioned blondes in the study. It's an interesting read, because the London Times basically misquoted him and interpreted his study completely wrong.

Just thought everyone should know! His study is based on attractiveness, and not necessarily blondes. :)

I read about that "Blonde Warrior" piece somewhere a little bit earlier and the Dr. cited in the paper is stating on his website that the article is incorrect. Above his response are some links with the results of the study - one titled "Hot Blonde Women No More Entitled Than Other Hot Women". Essentially, the study was conducted about anger -" What he did find, in this research on anger, was that women who view themselves as pretty, and stronger men, tend to be more entitled". So... I'm guessing the any lady with some nice symmetry is a "Warrior Princess" inside?
Regardless, interesting thought about blonde hair being more attention grabbing because I know shiny platinum hair always send jealous quakes through my red strands (and I know if I ever go blonde I'll look like a ghost).

Zephyr - Ah, okee doke! I didn't know that. I honestly don't know what (if anything) has been done to change this situation, so the new article could be totally warranted.

I decided I need to make an avatar considering how often I post on here. :-)

Hey Kristen - I've heard about that stuff before, too. I think it's being brought up again because a popular fashion blog ran a long story about why they hate F21 and it stirred up enough controversy to spread across the web. And I posted it here because readers emailed me about it, and I think it's important people be aware of what they're supporting with their dollars.

I usually like the links that you post on here, but I don't understand why there's a new article about the Forever 21 sweatshops. Did something new happen? I worked there 2 years ago, and this was old news then! I'm not trying to defend them, but I don't know why there was a new article and new attention drawn to the documentary.
