The Only Real Women Are ‘Nautral’ Women, from Thought Catalog. I couldn’t agree more with this!!
Setting aside the deeply insulting and hurtful experience of having a woman with perfect, glowing skin tell you that your wearing of foundation somehow makes you inherently “not yourself” in some way, it’s important to note that this rhetoric extends to much more than just makeup. Everything from spending time on your hair every day to dressing in an overly “put-together” fashion can put you under the harsh gaze of both women and men who feel that if you in any way deviate from what is “natural,” they have a valid reason to criticize you and your perceived confidence.
The Cut asks.. has the online dating backlash arrived? Definitely an interesting argument.
These DIY gold shell earrings, from Honestly WTF, would be a perfect way to use those pretty shells everyone brings back from beach vacations.

I just made the banana bread in a cup — from the microwavable snacks article — and it was insanely incredible. I recommend it absolutely.

Fun articles, especially the microwavable snack recipes. Would like to try it out sometime soon:) Don’t quite agree with the makeup article though, I don’t have good skin either but don’t believe in wearing makeup just to feel good.

A note on the “natural” look–as much as it annoys me that all sorts of “not natural” things from hair removal to makeup are borderline *required* in many settings, I always find it funny when guys say they prefer the natural look. The vast majority of the time what it means is that they hate poorly-done, clownish makeup, and the example of natural they point to is tweezed, styled, made up, and (if not standing right in front of you) also photoshopped–they just don’t realize it. Then they ask if a friend is sick because she chose not to put makeup on that morning.
Jess
is it supposed to be spelled “natural” as opposed to “nautral”?
