Hautelinks: Week of 10/6/11

Hautelinks - your weekly source for the best of the web

* InStyle’s guide to walking in heels not only shows you how to strut in stilettos, it also has some great tips for making your favorite shoes more comfortable.

* Refinery29 has a cute Missoni-esque sneaker DIY – no trip to Target required!

* CollegeCandy lists the best home remedies for cramps. That ginger tea idea sounds worth a try.

* Speaking of things that are helpful during that time of the month, three words: Reese’s. Cheesecake. Brownies.

* This might not be new to many of you, but we just discovered Draw a Stickman and we’re obsessed! Such a fun, creative little game – it’s an ideal way to waste a few minutes.

* Fashion Bloggers Get Agents, from the New York Times. Really interesting how the lines between bloggers and celebrities are starting to blur. P.S. My friend Yuli was quoted on the second page!

* Are you buying any of these 8 overpriced grocery store items?

* Kanye West reflects on his first runway collection. I actually liked quite a few of his pieces, but his influences were definitely obvious, as the article points out. What did you think of his clothes?

* As you know, CF loves creative and budget-friendly DIY projects, so these chic & cheap pizza box wall decorations are right up our alley.

* For you future corporate Americans (or entrepreneurs!): Designing a successful business card. Lots of cool ideas!

* Video of the day: Little girl killing a Super Bass cover! Too. Cute.

* For those of you 21+ (or with a 21st birthday coming up): This cake vodka milkshake would be so fun to make for a 21st birthday. Just make sure to stop at one!

* This stylish frame for several photos would be a fantastic dorm room decoration!

* Also home decor-related: Song Lyric Wall Art DIY. This is so cute and could be customized a gazillion ways.

* Did anyone else completely lose it when they showed part of the “sex tape” during the credits of Bridesmaids? Well, now the full version has been released – and it’s even funnier, but very NSFW (not safe for work): The full Melissa McCarthy-Air Marshal ‘Sex Tape’ from Bridesmaids.

* Marie Claire did a great roundup of the best street style looks from Paris Fashion Week.

* Taxi Driver Confessions, from Daily Candy, tells some crazy/weird stories from NYC cab drivers and gives some fascinating insight into this profession.

* Oh god, make it stop: Jersey Shore’s Mike “The Situation” Sorrentino’s Cringe-Worthy Lookbook for his New Tux Line. I can’t believe this isn’t a joke.

* Refinery 29 listed some cute nail art tricks we can’t wait to try. The polka dots are so cute!

* The difference between London and New York Fashion Weeks, from the Telegraph. Guess we Americans are pretty high-maintenance!

* Ugh, this is the hardest thing to do, ever, but can sometimes be necessary: How to Break Up with a Friend.

* In case you guys hadn’t heard, Occupy Wall Street, a peaceful protest of activists against corporate greed and the financial world’s influence on U.S. politics has been going on all week, and has some great images from the protests.

* The Glitter Guide did a fantastic 1950s makeup tutorial – such a classic, pretty look.

The little girl singing Nicki Minaj was insane, but I used to sing along to rude songs and have no idea what it meant. I LOVE 2 Become 1 by the Spicegirls lol
