Is that ironic or iConic style moments from Gossip Girl?
Joanna
It should definitely say iconic, not ironic! Haha

The fact that Ray Bradbury is not on the list of authors to read at Halloween fills my nerd heart with sadness. Something Wicked This Way Comes is IMO *the* Halloween book.
For the list of things we did better as kids–yes and no. I think it makes some interesting and good points, but I also think some of those are something that absolutely every generation feels. Over time you idealize the good parts of your childhood and the negatives that weren’t monumentally bad just sort of drift away. Even Socrates wrote rants about how the younger generation in his time was screwing everything up.
The money values post was in interesting perspective, thanks.

Sarah & Johanna – Oops! Thank you for pointing that out! Although ironic GG outfits would be pretty fab…
Cass – Such a great suggestion! You should definitely post that in the comments over there, if someone hasn’t already. And I totally agree on the “things we did better as kids” post – I recently saw a Reddit thread on how adults will always complain about “what kids are listening to these days,” no matter what kind of music it is. Plenty of parents hated the Beatles when they were the hot new pop band. It’s all relative, right?
