My favorite costume design is Ravenna. The roman-inspired attire entranced me. Everything that she wore depited what kind of person she really is; a dark and frightening woman who takes whatever she wants by force. After seeing the wedding dress and her black crow inspired cape, I realize that Mrs. Colleen Atwood description of the evil queen’s wardrobe exhibiting a “rotting” characteristic is a perfect assesment for the costumes of Queen Ravenna. Especially with the bone-like substance being used as shoulder pads on the wedding dress. Phenomenal! I love it when clothes develop a personality and change with the character over a coarse of time.

Normally, I would choose Ravenna’s over-the-top glam, queen style. But really, comparing Kristen Stewart Snow White and Disney Snow White, I prefer Kris any day! Her style is edgy, goth, mixing feminine pieces with mostly menswear (definitely in this season). And since Kristen has that slight-goth in her look (hence Twilight), the look suits her extremely well. Her choice of clothing not only states, “I’m out to save my life,” it also says, “I’m a strong, independent woman, and I will take matters in my own hands!”
