My ‘made for’ moment will be graduating from college, and although that’s a ways off still, I want to be wearing something classic, timeless, and beautiful. A sundress to celebrate summer in a beautiful color- I’m thinking turquoise, as it’s my favorite for summer right now- and some wedges so I don’t fall on my FACE crossing the stage in stilettos!

My “Made for Moment” would have to be my birthday. My family and I joke that I have a month long birthday celebration because of all the planning and time I put into it. Birthdays’ are supposed to be your day, so why not express your style to the extremes. I would wear a bright pink romper with a sweetheart neck line and a braided brown leather belt showing off my natural waist. Also, I would wear brown leather flat oxfords with neon blue socks, which would match my neon blue nails. I would match this outfit with fun accessories such as bold rings and silver hoops.

    July 27th, 2010 at 12:17 pm

My “Made For” moment would be heading to the airport to travel somewhere exotic. I love to travel anywhere, but my favorite places to go have to have the sun shining and offer a different vibe then the US. So it is a must for my outfit to be fashionable, comfortable, and versatile.

My “Made For” outfit would consist of a blue dress with a white cardigan, airplanes tend to get cold! A pair of sandals, because the location I’d be traveling to would be no place for covered shoes. A pair of sunglasses, to block out the rays, and a pair of earrings, not made out of metal so the metal detectors won’t go off. And last but not least, my passport. Can’t go anywhere without it!

My “Made For” moment is going to be my first day of law school in two weeks. The first night features a new law student banquet and with Legally Blonde being one of my favorite movies I want to look the part of professional and girly to kick off the year. I would start with a gray skirt suit (because gray is the new black) that is obviously tailored in all the right places. I will pair it will a pale pink silk blouse (because every girl needs a hint of pink) and my gray peep toe pumps with a small bow detail on the side. A pair of chique stud earrings and a stylish yet classic necklace is a must. A boyfriend watch and a black satchel bag will complete my professional meets girly look. With this and a confident smile there is no way I will be intimidated on my first day!

    ‘Made for Exciting Travels’

This outfit has to be comfortable and stylish, and has to adapt to any situation but also to my own personal style.

I would wear a comfortable but flattering, cinched-waist dress in a ‘late summer’ colour like dusky pink, navy blue or a purple print, with a pair of black flats and a black cardigan. I would have a small black handbag to be able to access my passport and other essentials easily, but I would also carry a bigger piece of luggage like a large, worn leather bag in which I’d keep a coordinating scarf (probably silk – keeps you warm on the plane but cool when you touch down) and a pair of ribbed wool tights in case my random destination is a little cold, along with a good book, my other clothes and my camera. Bring on Paris/Florida/Tokyo/Brazil!

  53. 53

    July 27th, 2010 at 2:44 pm

    Great job on the video!

My “Made for” moment is an autumn afternoon at the park. I love that time of year. Right when the leaves first fall off the trees and you can walk briskly through the bright colored piles, hearing the leaves crunch underfoot.

My outfit for this moment would consist of a short vintage dress in warm earth tones, very simple in design. A cardigan in dark orange thrown over the shoulders. All of this would be paired with patterned, eye catching tights, and slouchy boots. All accessories would be vintage inspired.

  57. 57
    July 27th, 2010 at 2:46 pm

My “Made For” Moment would be when I am travelling overseas, and my outfit is all about the comfort!! (and packing, of course) The first staple is comfy legwear – a knee-length, colorful flowy skirt paired with my favorite silver sandals (if there’s no reason to pack light) or knee-high boots (if space is an issue).

I’d pair that with a soft knit fitted top and a cardigan for the chilly plane ride, and I’m set!

    July 27th, 2010 at 3:16 pm

My “Made For” moment would be going stargazing with my boyfriend on our upcoming second anniversary! Because we would have gone to a fancy restaurant beforehand, id probably be wearing a ruffled, tiered pale pink dress with subtly patterned grey tights, black patent leather heels, and hopefully my bf would give me his jacket to wear when i complain that i’m “too cold” ;).

My “Made for Moment” would be my “I got hired” outfit that I wore on my first day, to my dream internship! I wore a black pencil skirt from J. Crew, a white blouse with a ruffle, scooping neckline (appropriately conservative, of course, I work in DC) from Banana Republic , a pink sweater from Zara, my favorite Pearl necklace that I got from my dad for high school graduation, black, peep-toe wedges from Aldo, and I toted all my essentials in my purse from Morocco! I look best in traditional, clean lines, and I felt like a million dollars when I walked in my first day!

    July 27th, 2010 at 4:02 pm

My “made for” moment would be “Going to the theatre.” Theatre is my passion, and I love going to see shows. When I go, I want to be dressed, and have a night out, but be comfortable enough to sit for 2 hours and watch. I like to wear me fave heel from Sears, my diamond studs from Aunt Charlotte, my pink flower dress from Deb, and my purple Dillard’s sweater in case I get cold. With a cute headband, and a scrunchie just in case, I’m good to go!

    July 27th, 2010 at 4:09 pm

MY MADE FOR moment would have to be what I wear the day I move into my first apartment (or dorm). Instead of going for the typical move-in uniform of jeans and an old tee I’d be sporting dark wash jean shorts with a cuff and a polo shirt in a dark color like navy or hunter green. For comfort and safety I’d also add navy and tan leather boat shoes and for accessories just simple studs. Also, I can’t go without a light jacket in case it gets cold.

My ‘made for’ moment would be any day I was working as a peer tutor at my college. I love my job, because it gives me a chance connect with other students and because I hope to one day teach college. Although we don’t have a dress code, I like to mix comfy pieces with fun, unique items.

My outfit would consist of my favorite skinny jeans, ballet flats, black tank-top, and grey boyfriend cardigan. I would accessorize with a long, beaded, bohemian-style necklace and a cream-colored heart charm necklace that used to belong to my Grandmother. I usually twist my curly hair back when I’m working, (nothing worse than having it get in one’s way!), and, because I work long hours, I wear my Ray-Ban style prescription glasses so my contacts don’t dry out my eyes.

My made for moment is my birthday celebration at the local coffeehouse! I’d wear a pair of sandals, an ethnic print dress, and a chunky knit wrap on top to keep me warm. I’d accessorize with a cute feather hairclip, a few bangles, and a convenient satchel!

My made for moment is relaxing with my boyfriend after a long week and doing the things we love on a Saturday afternoon. We’d probably go to the park or to a farmer’s market so my made for outfit would be cute shorts with flowy top and comfortable shoes to walk around in!

My made for moment would be my little sisters wedding. I’d be wearing her dream bridesmaid dress, which would be a dark purple long strapless dress with small swarovski crystals on the bodice. It would be accessorized with my great grandmothers diamond necklace, silver rings and bracelets and some beautiful matching shoes.

My “made for” moment would be the day that I finally graduate from college. Walking up to that platform, I want what I wear to immediately clue others in on the huge accomplishment that this is to me. I would wear a royal purple dress from ModCloth because it is beautiful, mature, and unique. Over that, I would wear a black lace vest for a feminine touch, with an aqua belt to tie around my waist and add some color. And for the final touch, I would wear small chandelier earrings, black lace tights, and black ballet flats or kitten heels for that proud walk to the platform. (I agree with others – falling on your face while getting ready to accept your diploma is not a great start to graduated life!)

My made for moment would be my birthday. I’d wear a short, strapless chambray dress, long crocheted beige cardigan, and floral print flats. I’d accessorize with a long necklace and a thin, simple headband.

My made for moment is definitely “Made for Autumn”. I love everything about the crisp air and changing leaves and the best part is the clothing that goes along with the season! I’m not stuck wearing bulky winter clothes yet but I love to wrap up in a long sleeve sweater or cartigan, throw on a bright scarf (nothing knit yet) and boyfriend or dark wash jeans. And boots or heels of course! I love the warm colors of fall but the playfulness you can still incorporate…as if you aren’t ready to give up summer just quite yet.

My Made for Moment would be walking around my village with my boyfriend during the late afternoon – going into the old bookshop, then grabbing some cupcakes and hanging out by the harbor. My outfit would be a white ruffled top, with a pair of dark wash bermuda shorts, a pair of black and white polka dot retro-inspired heels, and a large statement pendant of dark blue beach glass. And of course, some oversized black sunglasses for when the setting sun gets too bright!

My “made for” moment is hanging out with friends and living life in general. The outfit is my favorite pair of dark denim jeans (usually always American Eagle Boyfriend fit because they just say comfortable to me), a cami with a colorful cardigan over top. With some comfy shoes to keep with the theme. To top it off the jewelry is simple, pearls. Pearl earrings and necklace. With my favorite perfume, Vera Bardley Princess.

All of this screams comfortable and me. I believe you should always be comfortable with what you wear even if others don’t think its comfy. :)

My “Made For” moment would be going to my first Taylor Swift concert. I love listening to her songs when I need to get over a guy or just to flat out – listen to music. (: She is SUCH a role model to me and it would be truly amazing to see her perform in person. (:

I would be wearing a silver sequined tank top worn under a medium wash denim jacket. Also, I would have a pair of dark wash boot-cut jeans paired with black ankle boots. To complete my look, I would have my hair done in beachy waves and angled sidebangs while I toted around a giant poster to wave in the air.

My “Made For” moment is when I land my first full-time job and celebrate out in NYC. I would get dressed up in my thrifted black 50s/60s babydoll dress, black sheer tights, and black mary janes. I would tie my dark hair back into a flowy side ponytail. For subtle yet effective color, I would use black mascara and purple shadows to emphasize my green eyes. My bag would be a small light-brown over the shoulder purse. :)

My “Made for” moment is broadcasting in a Hurricane. Although the winds will be fierce and the rain like pelets; i will rock my broadcast in my “Made for” outfit: a cute black with white polka-dot rain boots and a green knee-length rain jacket, with double brested buttons and a belted waist. I’ll wear some dark denim, skinny jeggings to, and of coarse accesories with big stud earings, rings, (but nothing else so that i don’t get whipped in the face:)

My “Made For Moment” would be a coffee date with the girls. I like to be feminine, but I don’t enjoy suffering for fashion! As such, my outfit would consist of my favorite black flats, dark wash skinny jeans, my light-blue, chunky knit “grandfather cardigan,” a white v-neck tee, my vintage Coach cross-body bag, and little gold hoops with a fun cocktail ring.

My “Made For” Moment was a school dance. It wasn’t formal, but it was the last one of the year and I knew that I wouldn’t see a lot of these people ever again. I decided to wear one of my comfy 100% cotton dresses. It was black and white with stripes and hit just at the knee. I wore a more rusted red v-neck under it and paired it with (or should’ve paired it with) some black gladiators. I got so much compliments and had so much fun!

My “Made for” moment would be a night out with my girlfriend. We go to this eclectic dive bar that has cheap drinks, good music, good company and a back patio that’s beginning to feel like home. There are strung lights, lanterns and candles, and brightly painted stucco walls. There are outside booths and tables, and a ping pong table. We are ping pong regulars at the Shanty and like to be able to move around and play comfortably while looking put together. I’d wear high waisted shorts, a light sweater (because we’re outside), and a tucked in t-shirt. I’d wear tan oxfords and pretty CZ costume ring that serve two purposes-to be cute, and to say “don’t hit on me!” After all, I’m only there for the ping pong :)

My “Made For” moment hasn’t actually happened–yet. In a couple weeks or so, I’ll be at Orientation Week at the University of Chicago, and along with 7 straight days of paperwork and mayhem (so I’ve been told), it’s also a great opportunity for me to dress the part of an “official” collegefashion reader. I’m thinking something versatile but adorable and unique.. how about a black and white striped t-shirt dress that hits right above the knee from H&M, paired with a long-ish lightweight cotton navy cardigan (with pockets of course!), belted together with a skinny brown belt with a gold buckle. I’ve got some adorable anchor studs for my ears, and I’ll be wearing a gold necklace passed down from my grandma. For shoes, I have light weight gray keds to keep my feet sane.

I’ve also got a rather large brown leather fringe-y shoulder bag to hold all my o-week materials…t-shirts, paperwork and my camera.

Underneath it all, of course, I’ll have my bikini on, just in case the moment to dive into beautiful Lake Michigan arrives. Perfect.

Well, my ‘made for’ moment would be my dream sweet sixteen party! It would take place at the beach, with all my family and friends, having fun at the pier, swimming and scoping out the ‘locals’ :). I would wear a racerback white flowy tank, with a pair of cream colored Jessica Simpson sandals, and a pair of rolled up dark wash jean shorts. As the day wears on, the pier party would slowly become a bonfire, as everyone surronds the warm orange flame, we roast ‘campfire food’ and tell stories about anything, really, because in that one moment, everyone would feel like time stopped, keeping us all in that ‘happy place’.

My “made for” moment would be a day at the library. The outfit for this is a pair of jeans with a thin long-sleeve top because it’s always chilly in the library when you’re studying. Add a bright colored scarf, cute flats, and some pretty earrings to keep you from looking too much like an overworked college student.

My “Made For” moment would be a first date, and my out would be very bohemian chic: A simple white button-down blouse layered over a nice crinkled-silk or lace cami, worn with a straight maxi skirt in black. Pile on the accessories: make it a large wide belt along with several studded thin ones; lots of necklaces, the stand out being a cross; and gorgeous wood-sole wedges. Add on a large black sunhat and some orange lipstick and I’ll be good to go.

My “made for” moment would have to be someday walking through central park on a brisk evening in New York City with my standard poodle after a long, enjoyable day working for the NY detective agency. Who said a detective can’t be stylish and classy? My outfit would consist of sleek, clean grey slacks paired with a camisole with ruffly top. On top of the cami there would a simple yellow and grey patterned buttoned down sweater. The outfit would be complemented with simple matted silver flats. I’d wear my cherished Tiffany’s necklace and simple earrings. I’d wrap up the outfit with a khaki colored trench coat perfect for NY’s chilly weather in the fall.

My “made for” moment: an extended lunch in a Parisian cafe during my semester abroad, philosophizing with my soon-to-be-soulmate before either of us would know the ending.

My outfit would be simple, slim, and classic. A neatly pressed white blouse with lacy details under a fitted black boyfriend blazer on top; my favorite medium-wash skinny jeans and black suede boots on bottom. Combine that with the glint off of a vintage skeleton key necklace and you’ve got love!

MY “made for” moment would be at a CONCERT. I feel most comfortable and free at a show where I can just let loose and hear the music that makes me feel amazing. My outfit is simple and appropriate enough to be able to dance and jam out to the music. It would include my oversized chambray button up top- sleeves rolled up half way- tucked into my denim jean cutoffs. To give it a rock n roll feel, Id pair it with my high top black converse. Id have little accessories but just enough to tie loose ends together- small studded earrings and multiple hemp and chain bracelets. Id keep my makeup light- sweaty face with too much foundation is not good. And finally loose, messy (but polished) wavy hair to add a ‘just rolled outta bed and my hair looks like this’ look.

My “Made for” moment would be a midnight barbeque by the beach. My “Made for” outfit would be a blue and white floral patterned maxi skirt with a slightly oversized white tee and a thin brown belt at the waist. I would wear it with wedge flip-flops with seashell details, and a straw panama hat. For the accesories I would have on a couple of gold and wood bangles, one big wooden/gold ring, and gold patterned hoops. And maybe bring along a long brown cardigan if it gets cold.
As for styling: natural make-up and wavy long hair.

My “Made for” moment would be outside in a secret meadow about half a mile from my home. You have to cut through the woods and follow down a steep hill (thankfully there are trees to grab onto) and cross a small wooden bridge and you’re there. I would be painting with my watercolors during the sunset, it’s so gorgeous and I usually see deers around this time of the day. My “Made for” outfit would be my new vintage 80s black mid calf combat boots, a pair of black high waisted shorts, my orange ruffled polyester top tucked into the shorts, with a cute belt over the top, probably one of my black cardigans and I’d wear brass colored jewelry to play up the autumn tone of my orange shirt. I absolutely love that outfit! It’s just edgy enough, but has a pop of color and a touch of girly in it. C:

My ‘made for’ moment would be me walking down the busy streets of NYC. I’ve always loved the city, and just being able to be there and looking around me seeing all these different people in all different walks of life always just blows me away. Being in the city just makes me smile to myself and think to myself ‘I made it.’

My ‘made for’ outfit would be nothing but comfortable, I would have a long plaid tunic, some super comfortable skinny jeans with some interesting detail, like zippers at the ankles, or studded pockets, and simple black flats…and maybe a slouchy beanie because my head gets cold easily :)

My made for moment would be my first day as a kindergarten teacher. My made for outfit would be something fun and stylish that I can feel comfortable in and run around with the kids in. I would choose a relaxed lavender and white striped cardigan, blue dress pants, white camisole, cream colored flower to pin back my hair, and some black low sling backs. JC Penny is where my dream teaching wardrobe will be coming from.

MY made for moment would be going to the church as a family and play piano to praise god. MY made for outfit would be very casual, and classy. ANY pastel colored(soft colored like salmon, beige, yellow..etc.) dress with any color of blazer or cardigan on top with oxford flat will give a great look.
For accessories, i would wear vintage necklace, light brown sun hat with small wool satchel will give an uniqueness.
For a make up, ill use sunscreen to protect my skin from the sun, dr.feelgood by benefit for pore coverage, pink lipstick or tint with SPF lip balm, oil sheet (I always carry oil sheet in a hot summer weather), at last, do my eye make up: with brown or black eye liner and golden color eye shadow.
For my hair, ill just clean up with shampoo and rinse with the conditioner, dry them(i like my hair loose). By the way! Thanks for recommending baby powder for oily hair. IT works!

I’d also bring a cardigan just in case it got a little cold on the plane :)

My “Made For” moment would be: A Walk in the Park. That is my idea of the perfect date, because you get to enjoy the beauty of nature while holding hands with that special someone and just talk about nothing in particular. And to make things even more special, pack a basket full of some deli sandwiches, fresh fruit, and a few freshly baked chocolate chip cookies for a relaxing sunset picnic.

For this “date” I think simple is better. You never want to look like you’re trying to hard when it’s just a walk in the park or going to a picnic. I made an outfit with, instead of simply describing what I would wear. Check it out:

I think floral dresses are mature, yet at the same time playful and flirty. This flowing dress will also be cool for days that are a bit warmer. The neckline is very flattering for many chest sizes, and the double straps make it a little different from most dresses. To bring out the color in the dress, I chose a bright-red flower hair-band, which very summery and will put the look together. Other than that, I didn’t accessorize because, like I said, simple is better. Of course if you have a signature locket that you always wear around your neck, or maybe a promise ring from your boyfriend, those are fine to wear. For the shoes, I chose the comfortable and classic white Keds. Although some people look at Keds and immediately think of their mother, but I find them to be really cute and great to wear with many outfits.

My made for moment is a late-night bonfire at the beach with my family. My style is feminine and put together but at family bonfires everyone dresses casual and relaxed. We sit around and tell funny stories, so I need a comfy outfit I can roll around laughing in. I would wear dark stretch skinny jeans, a plain v neck t-shirt and a cozy cardigan. Oh and comfy bright colored sandals, they come off as soon as my toes touch the sand though.

I love quality family time! :)

I love being inspired by your fashion advice!

My Made For Moment is chilling with friends, where I have a chance to be a bit more causal in my fashion, but with an edge of class. My outfit consists of an elongated blue plaid shirt with an oversized belt to cinch it together, black leggings, and simple black kitten heels. Accessories would include bangles, gray headband, and earrings. Of course I can’t forget my favorite mascara- Maybelline Great Lash!

My Made For moment would be my Volunteer Work at my city’s hospital. We can’t wear much because our uniform is to wear black pants and a yellow polo shirt. That hasn’t stopped me from trying to dress it up a little bit. I wear black skinny jeans, along with the polo. As a jacket, I can either go business casual with a black or gray boyfriend blazer or go for a little more girly approach with a long gray cardigan. On my feet, I can go as casual with a pair of black Converses or dress it up with flats. Sometimes, when I’m in a fun mood, I wear my black polka dotted pointed flats that has the fading colors of red to yellow in the background. It’s one way to add a bit more color other than adding accessories. I try to avoid putting on too much accessories because I still want to keep it simple.

Even though I’m stuck with a boring uniform, there’s so many ways I can change it up to keep me looking appropriate for volunteer work and stylish at the same time. =)

My made for moment would be a night at the bar. I would wear dark skinny capris with peep-toe black high heels. My made for outfit would be “Date Night” like yours except I’m a HUGE girly-girl who loves pink, lace, and pearls. I’d pair a pink lacy shirt with a pink ruffled shirt tied together with a wide waist belt. I’d add in a peraly necklace and earrings with a pink Chanel bad. Instead of a rich pink, everything is a pale pink. Then to offset it, I’dd pair teal platforms. To see my image check out: to see it all together! :)

My “Made For’ moment would just be a night at home watching 10 Things I Hate About You (for the 100th time) or another scientific documentary with my sister. It’s an everyday moment that may not seem to be significant, but I would still make the most out of it and have fun with clothes. For me, being fashionable means putting in the effort even when you’re not going out to parties or a night out with the girls. So, for my night in, I would wear a striped ruffled top, like|tops&Ne=4294957900+598+5+23+3+29+585+596+593+1010+1011+1031+18+904+949+833&CatTyp=RLE&Dep=AMERICAN+LIVING&N=4294953017&Pcat=AMERICAN+LIVING&Cat=womens&Nao=0&PSO=0&CmCatId=70660|70662
along with my mom’s floral skirt from the 80’s that I stole from her closet. To successfully mix the two prints, I would add a basic black belt, my black headscarf, and of course, my leopard-print heels. The outfit would probably leave me giggling to myself the entire night.

My “Made For” moment would be a night on the town at The Grove in L.A. with friends. I go to college in Los Angeles, and it’s always great to step out onto the night scene, and dressing up for a night always makes me feel super special!
For my date night, I would wear a denim dress with a sweet-heart neckline and leather belt that gives off a slight rocker vibe. I’d pair it with a short white cardigan with ruffles to soften the look and give it a girly vibe (I’m a total girly girl when it comes to clothes!). Finally, I’d wear simple black tights (to keep warm), black pumps, a quilted white clutch, and a classic black satin bow headband (I love headbands) to complete the look. Check out my ideal outfit:

In the past I’ve been just a blind follower, wearing exactly what my friends were in an attempt to fit in, or wearing very little in order to attract boys. I knew something needed to change, so I spent this summer completely reevaluating and ultimately decided to enhance my Judaic observance and become an orthodox Jew. In orthodoxy, modesty is prized and a female is encouraged to not expose herself to her elbows or above her knees. At first it was a struggle, but now I truly feel that every encounter I have is based upon more than the fact that a boy liked the curve of my hips but instead is truly interested in my thoughts and ideas. Now, I am determined to prove that modesty IS stylish and hot! My “Made For Rockin’ Modest” outfit consists of a cute flowery high-waisted skirt, loose tank top with lace accents, nude heels and my favorite (fake!) leather jacket. It’s cute, conservative, smart and stylish- just like I want to be! :)

Hi, My “made for” moment is meeting a boyfriend’s traditional parents for the first time. In this look, I would wear a nice summery skirt, about knee length, kind of like the peasant skirts that were very popular in Europe 5 years ago, very flowy and feminine. I would wear one of those skirts in a navy blue colour. For a top, I would wear a simple cap-sleeve, v-neck shirt in a pale purple colour. With that I would wear simple black flats with a bow detail on the front to play up the feminine vibe of the outfit. As the parents are conservative and traditional, I would pair a simple silver watch, a pearl (or faux-pearl) necklace and dangling earrings with some sort of bow or heart detail. The hair would be softly curled, with a right part and the hair on the right side pinned behind my ear.

This is a very conservative, feminine look that is excellent for meeting more traditional parents of boyfriends for the first time.

My made for moment is “first day on the new job.” This is tough because I don’t know the dress code ahead of time. I would definitely wear black cotton pants, straight leg. I would wear burgandy ballet flats for a little kick of color. I would also wear a short-sleeved sweater. It is dressy but not formal, and looks very put together when I’m not sure what else to wear. I would wear a short-sleeved purple argyle v-neck sweater. Finish the look with watch, small charm necklace, and a structured black bag.

My “Made For Moment” would be a night out on the town with my girlfriends, dinner a movie and some drinks afterwards. I would wear some dark bootcut jeans with some cute peep-toe red shoes, and a black one-shoulder shirt. I also would have to pair it with a red clutch to bring it all together. Not show enough skin to make my bf cringe, but just enough to feel confident. :)

My “Made For” moment would be walking in the city – maybe stop at a cafe and check out neat vintage stores! My “Made For” outfit for this moment is my mom’s black high-waisted shorts, Urban Outfitters cream-and-pastels floral tank, cuff bracelet, a chain satchel bag, baby pink flats, and a denim jacket or vest depending on the weather. I would wear this every day!

What’s your favorite moment, and what is your perfect outfit for that moment?

My “Made For” moment would be at a backyard barbeque with all of my friends and family – swimming, playing volleyball and enjoying each other’s company. My perfect outfit would be a solid colored flared tank with a cute pair of distressed shorts paired with a fun summer scarf and cuffed sandals. I am very into tanks and a scarf will give a casual outfit some flair. I also like to wear things people will take interest in, so the cuffed sandals, which are not popular here yet, would stand out. A great outfit until I get thrown in the pool and have to change into my bathing suit!

It’s so cool to see the girl behind College Fashion! Great video. <3

My "Made For" moment would be going to Starbucks just for fun. I used to work there, and I really miss it, so now it feels like my special place to get away when I'm stressed or feeling down. On a day that I go to Starbucks, I'd be wearing something that made me feel confident, with my hair styled and my makeup done (I don't usually wear any). A typical outfit for a Starbucks day might include a favorite outfit like my striped lavender henley top over a lacey white tank, jeans, and my American Eagle flats. Nothing super fashionable or trendy, but something I know I look good in, to raise my spirits.

My ‘Made for’ moment would be a fun Friday night out with my girlfriends! We usually go to a burlesque show since the Chicago local scene is thriving. I’d wear crazy high black strappy wedges, a high waisted pencil skirt, a big suede belt, and a bright bustier (the burlesque girls can’t have all the fun, right?).

What a fabulous start to adulthood!

My “Made for” moment would be meeting up with my twin sister (we live across the country from each other) in a random new city and exploring it together. My “Made for” outfit would be comfy but cute, gray low tops, cuffed, skinny capris in a dark wash, a loose fitting, silver tank top (just in case the day turns into night and I want to feel more dressed up), a cute boyfriend blazer over it maybe in a funky red or print, my “Tous” flower necklace on a long silver chain, a pair of oversized sunglasses, (probably like my favorite brown pair from studying abroad that were broken), an over the shoulder leather bag that could fit my Holga, film, my iPhone, a book (for reading in coffee shops) and all the cards and things I would pick up at every place we would go into for memories.

My “Made for” moment would be going to the US Open with my mom and watching an amazing day of tennis. My “Made for” outfit would be a nude toned dress with a hemline down to just above my knees and a loose navy blue blazer. I would have a silver bracelet and silver stud earrings and my favourite sunglasses for during the day, but leave the blazer in my tote. Later when my mom and I explore the city and go out for dinner I can throw on the blazer and be comfortable walking in a pair of kelly green flats!

My “made for” moment was the evening my boyfriend asked me out on the beach. We sat on the sand facing the sunset and the waves splashing on the shore, and it was truly magical. There was even some soft romantic background music playin at the shacks at a distance.I wasn’t expecting him to ask me out although i knew we really liked each other.
My “made for” – look was casual and comfortable since i knew we were goin to the beach, and he’s a football player-crazy about football. I wore a striped black and blue intermilan football jersey for girls, by nike; and i wore short loose white cotton shorts by Max, and a pair of white roxy flip flops. i wore a blue stone charm bracelet on my wrist which my boyfriend had gifted me ( he is a geologist now!) and let down my curly hair and wore my sunglasses by Mango on my head like a hairband.
i wore a perfume by “Ajmal” called “raindrops”, that drove him crazy !
And most of all i had the happiest day of my life – my dream date that came true!

My “made for” moment is a girls night out! I chose this moment because whether you have that “someone special” in your life or not, its always fun to dress up and go out with the girls, whether its dinner, movies, bowling, or a party. I made a set on polyvore to show what I would wear…

    Enjoy! :)

My “made for” moment is chilling on the beach alone with a good book in the evening when the crowd has thinned. Something about the sand and the sound of the tide inspires real introspection.
I would be wearing a floral linen sundress with a light blush colored cardigan and flip flops.

Hi, my name is Akemya and my ” made for ” moment is my prom this past june. Growing up I was always the “poor kid” I never attended school dances or even parties because my family could not afford to buy formal dresses. Because of that I was absolutely shocked when I came home from church and found a one shoulder elegant floor length royal blue dress with a pair of pearls and a note attached laying on my bed. I picked up the note and began to realize I was being asked to prom by one of the greatest guy I have even known: my daddy. He had spent almost all of his savings on new shoes, a dress, and a make over from sephora all for me. As I sat on my bed that night with my hair and make up done I realized I was one of the luckiest girls in the world. I may not have been the prettiest or richest girl but that night I felt like a million bucks. I would have something that night that most of those girls wouldn’t have in a lifetime; true love. My dad loves me more than anything and the world and it felt good to share my “made for a dream come true” moment with him.

My “made for” moment would be for a concert with my internship! I work with a music festival, so I get to be a little creative with my clothes. I have this great black/green/rust/creme colored skirt, which i pair with a simple black v-neck shirt, a wide black belt, black chunky studded open toe pumps for a touch of bad-assness, and simple jewelry. It’s my favorite!

When evening comes and the air turns a bit brisk, I’d grab the Worthington Essential V-Neck Cardigan and cozy up and get warm.

    “Made For Lakeside Retreat”

Getting out of the city and up into the mountains. Sitting at the dock of the bay. Wasting time. This is my “Made For ” place, I would like to be right now, and imagining it is only half as good.

For the outfit: Solid. Brightly colored, tunic style, cover up.
    Solid colored bandu bikini.
    Khaki drawstring linen pants.
Flat, lightweight shoes (such as “Marnie” by Crocs),
and a colorful printed tote bag (of ‘couse) to carry all the necessary items i.e. sun block, sunglasses, a book, a towel, ID, chapstick, healthy snacks, and a water bottle.

My made for moment is a summer roadtrip! The ultimate outfit is a pair of perfectly broken in jeans, a t-shirt with a belted sweater and scarf to keep warm when my friends crank the air conditoning too high. I would accessorize to the max with sunglasses and earrings. I’d turn my scarf into a turbanesque headband when the frizzies get the best of me.

The video turned out really nice!

My “Made For” outfit would be those days when you’re not feeling your “hautest” but still want to look YOUR “HAUTEST”. Being in college I know we have all had those days where you just wasn’t feeling it, couldn’t find anything to wear, and/or nothing fits/looks right! My outfit would consist of a simple v-neck in a vibrant color, cute waist skirt, gladiator sandals and a fedora.

The shirt gives the allusion you’re feeling bright, happy and alive, the skirt shows you’re feeling flirty and ready for some fun, the sandals are comfortable while still cute and fashionable and the fedora masks all those negative feelings/thoughts while looking adorable =)

My ‘Made For” moment would have to have been the Dave Matthews Concert I just went to in West Palm. Keeping in mind that it was forecasted to rain and South Florida’s humidity is unbearable, I planned my outfit accordingly. I donned a navy striped T with a breast pocket from American Eagle and Mossisimo khaki shorts from Target, and then paired this with a shoulder pocket bag I found in Costa Rica. I didn’t want to wear flip flops, the Florida staple footwear, because of the mud so I wore my brown leather gladiators from Bass. The concert was amazing, they played all of the right songs and I was cool, comfortable and cute while jamming out to ‘#41′ and ‘Crash into Me’!

What could be better than unwinding after a long day of going to work and returning from class? For me, my moment would be getting comfy in bed and watching project runway, gilmore girls, or top chef – completely 100% all by myself. It’s very rare that I get a chance to indulge myself like this, so I think that’s why I treasure it so much. It’s when everything falls into place and I am able to get away in peace that makes this my favorite moment.

My made for moment would be going to my local farmer’s market, picking out my favorite fruits, vegetables, freshly ground peanut or almond butter, and fresh mozzarella. I would probably wear something cute and comfy like this short flower print skirt I got on sale for $5.99 at Old Navy, a scoop neck black tee and my black patent leather sandals from Target plus this gorgeous teal leather purse from guess I got for $15 at plato’s closet. When I get home I would make pasta with tomato sauce and fresh tomatoes & basil from the pots on my balcony, chunks of eggplant and a tomato mozzarella salad. Yum! I would enjoy all of this on a warm Saturday afternoon out on my balcony. Absolute bliss!
