Whimsical and eccentric looks are in this season and no brand does them better than Paul & Joe. Originally created by designer Sophie Albou, the Paul & Joe line takes much inspiration from Albou's own personal style - it's "fresh and highly colorful, with flamboyant prints and very feminine fabrics," according to their website. And the Fall 2011 line was no exception, full of '70s-inspired pieces that had been given fresh and energetic twists.

Want to recreate Paul & Joe's eccentric style? Check out these 3 inspired "looks for less":

Look #1: Chunky and Chiffon

It's so easy to wear your spring and summer maxi's into the fall. In this look, Paul & Joe shows us a great way to make the summery maxi skirt more fall-appropriate, thanks to a brilliant chunky knit that contrasts well with the light, flowing skirt.

Start this look off with your favorite maxi skirt - I absolutely love  this bright blue pleated one. Pair it with a chunky knit, like this cream-colored sweater, and accentuate your waist with a skinny belt in a coordinating color. This outfit has a very earthy feel, so keep your accessories neutral and natural - I added brown lace booties and a simple brown cross-body bag. This outfit would be great for class, lunch with friends or indulging in your favorite fall activities.

Look #2: Geek is Chic

Paul & Joe is known for eccentric styling and this outfit is a perfect example, incorporating a floral skirt, paired with an over-the-top fur coat and topped off with geeky chic glasses. This look is all over the place yet still very streamlined and stylish.

{Dress, Coat, Bag, Glasses, Watch, Bracelet, Shoes}

Start building this look with a floral pleated dress, and layer it under a bold faux fur coat. To add color, try a colorful bag, like this bright red cross-body satchel. Keep your accessories simple with a gold watch and gold jeweled bracelet. Don't forget a pair of basic black booties and top the look off with a pair of (faux) tortoiseshell glasses to get the geeky chic vibe.

Look #3: Seeing Red

Red is an 'it' color for fall and this look shows us a fashion-forward way to wear it all over. Despite the bold red hue, the outfit still manages to look wearable and polished. The monochromatic color palette creates a chic, modern, streamlined effect.

{Sweater, Pants, Necklace, Belt, Bag, Boots}

The key to this all-over red look is to utilize different shades of red when building the outfit. I started off with a light red knit sweater. Pair it with a darker red trouser for contrast, then accentuate the waist with a skinny red belt. To accessorize, I chose a two-tone red cross body bag, and to mix it up, I added a cream statement necklace. Finish the look off with rugged brown booties.
