My style is still ever changing, but I always strive to be cute, chic, and casual. I've gone from always wearing a sweatshirt in jeans to wearing skinny jeans, blouses, heels, and funky jewelry almost every day. I've even started buying and wearing dresses! Last semester my R.A. told me that she never sees me in sweats and that I always look stylish, and it was such a great thing to hear since I never got compliments in high school. I'm still changing my image and embracing my new personal style, and a lot of positivity has come out of it so far : ) I went through a similar experience as Deanne, and re-inventing my style in college has given me a lot of confidence. Something along the lines of laid-back, bohemian, vintage, classic, with a bit of artistic. No more being restricted by an image that was accidently made when I was 11", so I did the whole ~being my true self~ and turning into the type of girls I'd used to envy.. shiny hair, immaculate accessories, etc etc but after a year of obsessively trying to keep up with trends and running out of chic, yet fashionable outfits, I gave up cos it was just too damn tiring! I've never been fat, but I've been working on toning up and becoming healthier lately, and I am trying to have my style show more of the easy-going side of me. I used to wear skirts and dresses and my hair tied back all pretty but now I am starting to love just throwing on a pair of loose jeans with a pretty belt, white v-neck t, and a cute black cardigan. I raided my grandma's closet today (sounds crazy but she has great clothes) and she let me have a great black cardigan with stiched detail...With a loose pair of dark jeans and a white t, I threw on a pair of brown and gold sandals (the contrast worked really well!) and my hair in a long braid and tah-dah...I looked different and fresh and I think more people noticed me than would have before. The style change turned heads because the outfit screamed "personality!" I have been working on reinventing my style lately, but I have been working on toning it down. I've always been that way, but lately I, I guess, turned female and want to wear all these pretty things, like gorgeous dresses, blouses, etc. instead of the t-shirt and jeans. For me, though, it's tough to make such a big change since I don't have a lot of money and whenever I find something fabulous I can never think of what I'd wear it with.
