How to Wear Leopard Print Shoes

Here at CF, we’re big believers in the idea that leopard is a neutral. That’s why we’re incredibly excited about one of this season’s hottest trends: leopard print shoes!
But while we’re solidly leopard-obsessed, we know not all of you are. Many of you have expressed uncertainty about rocking leopard accessories in the past, so today we’re going to demystify the art of rocking leopard shoes – they’re easier to pull off than you think! If you’re up for the challenge, try getting inspired by one of these looks:
#1: Night Out

Dress, Clutch, Shoes, Polish, Lipstick, Bracelet
Since leopard print is so attention-grabbing, you don’t need to go crazy with the rest of your outfit. A pair of printed pumps are perfect with a little black dress for a night out. Keep your accessories simple – with such statement-making shoes, you don’t want to look too flashy! Try completing your look with a bold bag to provide a pop of color: This will prevent your outfit from looking too boring. Red goes great with leopard print (especially if you really want to stand out), so it’s always a safe option.
#2: Dressy/Casual

Bag, Shorts, Top, Shoes, Necklace
Create a ’60s/70s-esque look by pairing rocker-inspired leopard booties with black velvet shorts. A salmon top is a great alternative to a more neutral-hued piece when you want to stand out in a crowd. Finally, a large shopper bag makes this outfit great for a huge range of occasions, from going to class to hitting up the new arrivals at your favorite boutique with friends.
#3: Daytime

Shirt, Shoes, Cuff, Jeans, Blazer, Necklace, Bag
Many people think that leopard print is only appropriate with attention-grabbing outfits, but this look proves the opposite: You can absolutely wear leopard print while still looking polished and put-together. Pink denim is another trendy look this fall; these pink jeans look awesome with leopard flats! Burnt orange and navy go great with the light pink – and the leopard – and the color scheme will really put you in the mood for autumn.
#4: Coffee Date

Sweater, Shoes, Dress, Necklace, Bag
Leopard print goes great with burgundy and plum hues, and this chunky burgundy sweater is the perfect piece for layering over a slip dress – you’ll stay warm and fashionable! Pairing an oversized top with a skinny, flashy heel (like these leopard ones) is a good way to tone down the shoe and make it appropriate for many different occasions.
What do you think?
What do you think of leopard print shoes? Are you gonna pick some up, or do you own some already? How do you wear your leopard heels? Which outfit is your fave? Let us know!

I don’t think I’d wear leopard print heels, but I don’t wear heels in general. I’ll definitely be picking up some flats soon though!

I would wear leopard print flats with black cropped pants and a flowy cream blouse. Not so sure about heels.

I’ve never caught the leopard print bug – it’s not that I don’t think I could pull it off, just that I don’t ever want to.

My whole room was covered in leopard print when I was younger! I still love the print, but in much smaller doses. I don’t have animal print shoes, but I’ve been wanting a pair of ankle booties like 2 and 4. I could definitely see myself wearing an outfit like 2.

I love leopard print. However, I have never worn it, and I’m currently obsessed with tracking down the perfect tiger print shoes. Just to be alternative to the current leopard trend.
