Color combo teal lilac

If you ever find yourself stuck in a style rut, playing with fun new color combinations is a great way to liven up your wardrobe. In this series, we feature unique and unexpected color combinations, then give you stylish outfit ideas so you can try out these color combos yourself. For more color-centric outfit ideas, be sure to check out our previous posts in this series.

Pairing pretty pastels with rich jewel tones makes for colorfully chic ensembles, and that’s just what we’re doing for this month’s Color Combo post. We love the idea of wearing a soft lilac with a deep teal – the resulting looks are bold but not overwhelming, and absolutely perfect for spring.

Need some outfit ideas before you rock this color combo? Simply scroll on down to check out four stylish outfits featuring lilac and teal:

Outfit #1: Springtime Chic

This first ensemble is ideal for a warm spring afternoon. Start by pairing a white wrap blouse with lilac shorts, then bring in the teal with a pair of strappy sandals. This fun snake print scarf incorporates both hues, as do these gemstone rings. For the finishing touch, slip on a pair of lilac-colored sunglasses.

Outfit #2: Colorful Business Casual

Create a bold yet polished color-blocked look by tucking a lilac top into a printed pencil skirt. Add some more teal in the form of these pointy-toe flats, then accessorize with an ultra-glam statement necklace. Play up your eyes with an awesome mascara and you’ll be ready for your class presentation or internship.

Outfit #3: Cute on Campus

For a casual outfit that packs a stylish punch, wear boyfriend jeans with a floral print tank that features both lilac and teal accents. Slip on some low-heeled sandals and grab a sleek color-blocked satchel. Dress it up a bit with sparkly earrings, then finish up the look by painting your nails a shiny shade of teal.

Outfit #4: Happy Hour

Go the trendy route by wearing a teal blouse with an asymmetrical skirt and chunky lilac sandals. To make the outfit work for a low-key night out, accessorize with a cool layered necklace and a dark fuchsia lip. Keep the focus on your ensemble by pulling your hair into a cute twisted bun.

Look #4 is so adorable. It’s like Elsa from Frozen, springtime version, complete with the hair and lipstick.
