Bright colors are always in for summertime, but there’s something about the classic combination of blue and red that really works during this time of year. Pairing red with a baby blue keeps things a little more chic and a little less superhero, and the resulting looks are perfect for warmer weather.

Create a laid-back yet stylish everyday look by tucking a baby blue blouse into a pair of red scalloped shorts. Strappy flat sandals keep things comfy, while a tan cross-body bag balances out the bright hues. Lastly, accessorize with a jeweled statement necklace and delicate bracelet.

I didn’t know where to write this so…I love this website but these advertisements are really annoying and off putting to be honest and I wondered if you could make them a bit discreet as they are too ‘extravagant’ .

Amelia – Thanks for the feedback! Can you be a little more specific about which ads you mean? We have two banner ads at the top of the page which is standard for almost all blogs. Is there a particular ad you’re finding offensive/off-putting, though? Sometimes ads get sold without our prior approval (a few months ago, there were some video game ones featuring scantily clad ladies that I had to block) so please let me know if that’s the case so I can block them!

Very nice…never thought blue and red could go together, but these outfits look good! maybe because it’s baby blue and not blue blue.
