Class to Night Out: Studded Top
Do you struggle with transforming your outfits from day to night? Don’t worry, CF is here to help turn that daily annoyance into a fun challenge. Class to Night Out focuses on one piece per week, and aims to help you take your look from study sessions in the library to dancing the night away.
Into heavy metal? This fall, so are we, at least when it comes to fashion. Metal detailing has been popping up everywhere, from the runways of fashion week to our favorite fast fashion stores. And though it might not seem that way at first, this trend is totally wearable!
Whether your style is classic and feminine or earthy and casual, subtle spikes and studs can add a touch of edge that will take your look to a whole new level. That’s why this week I’ll be showing you how to style a classic sleeveless blouse with a studded collar for both day and night.
Studded Top: Class

Top, Sweater, Jeans, Flats, Bag, Earrings
For a high-fashion twist on a comfy-cozy look, layer your spiked collar under a warm, oversized sweater. Though the skull print on this sweater gives off an extra edgy vibe, this look would work with almost any sweater you own. Keep the rest of the outfit chic and simple with classic dark wash skinny jeans and bow-detailed ballet flats. Accessories should be fun basics – like sparkly stud earrings and a classic satchel in a vibrant green.
Studded Top: Night Out

Top, Jeans, Ankle Booties, Clutch, Earrings
Go rebel-glam for night by pairing your top with some basic grey skinny jeans. A simple base provides a great canvas for edgy accessories. Let out your inner rocker chick in strappy black ankle booties, and add glitz with gold spike earrings. Finish the look with a hot pink clutch for a pop of color and a touch of glamor.
What do you think?
Have you tried out the stud trend? How would you style this top? Be sure to leave me a comment and let me know, I’d love to hear your thoughts!

The night look needs a belt, or something extra, in my opinion.
Emma
I could see the night look tucked in or with the bottom hem knotted, but I agree with Nienna that I need something more. Maybe even just the jeans messily cuffed to add visual interest. But if the top is sheer (it looks like it is) then a black or colored bra would add that interest.

don’t like the choice of top, but i do like the studded look in general

Great Post! What I like about embeliished clothes the most is that it takes the pressure off of having to select just the right jewelry to go with it—you already have it on!

The shoes in the night outfit look awesome, but I ordered them and they’re the most uncomfortable thing ever, like most shoedazzle shoes…

This trend is really prominent in my college campus in the northeast! It’s a very versatile look, and it’s really easy and affordable to manage with the pieces CF offered. It’s a great trend considering you can dress up or down the clothes and still acceptably wear them out during the day and at night. I liked the sweater paired with the dressy shirt to make it more casual during the day, and the heels to dress it up at night. I have been looking for more clothes that can work in a day or night setting.
