Do you struggle with transforming your outfits from day to night? Don’t worry, CF is here to help turn that daily annoyance into a fun challenge. Class to Night Out focuses on one piece per week, and aims to help you take your look from study sessions in the library to dancing the night away.

With the new year fast approaching, it's time to say hello to new trends. I'm a huge fan of Pantone's 2014 Color of the Year (radiant orchid, for those not already in the know!) and there's no better way to start a new year than jumping right on this color trend!

This week, I'll be showing you how to style an orchiddress for both a day of class and a night out. If you need to spice up your 2014 wardrobe, read on:

Create a chic daytime look that's still super cozy by layering your dress over a pair of knit tights. Playing with different shades of the same hue is so fun! Warm up with a cuddly gray stole cardigan and a pair of classic black Chelsea booties, then cinch the waist with a black belt. To complete the ensemble, grab a sturdy black hobo bag and accessorize with pretty pops of gold, like this knot ring and fun fox earrings.

Dress, Pumps, Clutch, Necklace, Earrings

Play with color and create a bold nighttime look by pairing an orchid dress with chic cobalt pumps. Next, add a funky statement necklace that has pops of amethyst, pale blue, and orange, as well as some matching earrings.. Complete this bright getup with an über-trendy hologram clutch.

Your thoughts?
