Class to Night Out: Long-Sleeve Collared Dress
In a 1960s mood? You’re in luck, because this week I’m going full-on mod squad by showing you how to style a long-sleeve collared dress for both a day of classes and a night out. I chose a beige-toned dress with a black Peter Pan collar for an extra retro look, but feel free to choose your favorite color combination. (I think an all-white dress would look amazing!)
Immortalized by Twiggy and other ’60s style icons, these flirty dresses have a retro flair that’s super trendy and beyond cute. Interested? Read on to find out how to get the look!
Long-Sleeve Collared Dress: Class

Dress, Cardigan, Tights, Belt, Bag, Flats
For a cozy, vintage-inspired day look, layer your dress with a fluffy gray cardigan and cinch at the waist with a simple black belt. This helps give the outfit a modern edge. Keep it schoolgirl chic with a pair of opaque black tights and velvety black ballet flats. A structured black and beige tote (which matches the dress!) adds extra polish to complete the ensemble.
Long-Sleeve Collared Dress: Night Out

Dress, Tights, Ankle Booties, Belt, Clutch, Earrings
Instantly upgrade your look for night by switching out your plain stockings for a pair of lace textured tights. Add studded black ankle booties and enjoy your femme fatale status. Trendy twists like a leopard belt at the waist and a snakeskin-embellished clutch keep you from looking too dated, while bejeweled pearl studs add just the right amount of retro sparkle.

Great post! I really love your sets. I really love the maroon polka-dot option up on top. I actually don’t have any long-sleeved collared dresses in my wardrobe right now, but I definitely would style them similarly. Super cute tights would be a must for sure. I really love how you added an animal print belt to the set. It really adds a pop of character!

I agree with Kimberly:
I LOVE the maroon polka-dot fitted dress. Can you tell us where to find some similar fitted options? I was a bit disappointed by the dress you chose for the sets, I think the color and baggy shape (yes even with a belted waist) would make me look like I’m wearing a potato sack :-/

the dress is amazing

i love this! maybe you could do a post on emerald color clothing, for it is the “Color of the Year”. I would love to see a post on that.
