Class to Night Out: Leopard Dress

Do you struggle with transforming your outfits from day to night? Don’t worry, CF is here to help turn that daily annoyance into a fun challenge. Class to Night Out focuses on one piece per week, and aims to help you take your look from study sessions in the library to dancing the night away.

I don’t know about you guys, but I am firmly of the opinion that leopard is a neutral, and should be worn as often as possible, with everything possible. Whether it’s splashed across a belt or a cardigan, leopard print can give any outfit a touch of elegance and effortless style.

If you’re afraid you can’t pull off this wild but chic print, read on! This week, I’ll be showing you how to style a leopard skater dress for a day of classes and a night out.

Think you can’t wear a leopard dress for daytime? Think again! For class, keep the wild dress soft and simple by mixing it with muted, neutral pieces, like an oversized (and beyond comfortable) grey cardigan and a baby pink scarf. Keep the look tailored by cinching the dress at the waist with a simple black belt. Sturdy-but-chic brown ankle boots keep you looking polished and studious. Finish the outfit with quirky accessories, like mustache-shaped earrings and a graphic tote.

Take a simple skater dress from classic and girly to wild and edgy for your night out by wrapping a spiked black belt around your waist. Amp up the look even further with a pair of killer black oxford ankle booties. To soften your outfit and play up the glamorous side of leopard print, keep your accessories feminine and elegant – like soft-colored pearl bangles and matching earrings. Add a subtle pop of color with a coral clutch to complete the look.

Your thoughts?

What’s your must-have animal print? Would you wear a leopard dress to class? Be sure to eave me a comment and let me know what you think of the outfits, I’d love to hear your thoughts!

I must say I despise leopard print. I think it looks tacky.

I really like this outfit, and will definitely work it into my wardrobe.

However, I’m kind of disappointed that CF is displaying what is, to me, a Louboutain knockoff/copycat.

Lots of companies like to do the whole red sole thing, and while it’s obviously Louboutin’s signature, I think it’s nice that you can still get the effect without spending hundreds of dollars.

    Plus, I love that they’re waterproof :)
