Class to Night Out: Lace Shorts

The ultimate girly-girl style staple, lace is not just for old ladies and wedding gowns anymore. There are tons of ways to incorporate lace into your personal style – from dresses, to vests, to my personal favorite lace look – shorts!
Lace shorts are ultra-feminine, which means they can be dressed up for a prim and proper look, or grunged down for something truly wild. No matter your sense of style, you can rock a pair – promise. This week, I’ll be showing you how to style a pair of lace shorts for a day of classes and a night out.
Lace Shorts: Class/Daytime

Ultra-girly meets beachy casual in this look for class or a day of shopping. Pair your shorts with a chic but simple blouse – I’m loving this pale pink one. Add laid-back accessories like pretty studded sandals and a beach-themed charm necklace for a look that’s straight out of The OC. Then glam it up a little with detailed, stackable rings and a structured bag.

For night, it’s time to go a little wild. Since your shorts are so feminine and delicate, pair them with a top that’s super edgy, like a skull-print tank that would make Alexander McQueen proud. Accessorize with studded gold and black bangles, matching earrings, and a simple black clutch. Keep your shoes simple but stylish, with nude-toned platform sandals. Rock fuchsia nails for a pop of color that’s truly daring.
