Do you struggle with transforming your outfits from day to night? Don’t worry, CF is here to help turn that daily annoyance into a fun challenge. Class to Night Out focuses on one piece per week, and aims to help you take your look from study sessions in the library to dancing the night away.
From jackets and vests to bags and shoes, faux fur has been everywhere this winter. Faux fur can add a luxe feel to any look and is much more versatile than you might think! I had my doubts about this look, but when I started playing around with it, I realized that it can really take an outfit to the next level. I love mixing textures and patterns, and faux fur is perfect for that.
My favorite variation of faux fur I’ve seen this season is the faux fur vest, so below, I’ll be showing you how to style one for both class and a night out:
Faux Fur Vest: Class
Give this oxblood-colored faux fur vest a more casual feel for class by pairing it with a black-and-white striped long sleeve shirt and a pair of black skinny jeans. Accessorizing with a large black cocktail ring and matching studded bracelet lends some edge to the look, while black riding boots keep the outfit polished and somewhat conservative.
Lighten up this dark ensemble with a pale pink nail polish and lip gloss. Finish off this class-appropriate look with a black bag – this large carryall is the ideal size for toting all those notebooks and folders across campus.
Faux Fur Vest: Night Out
The combination of a black silky blouse and a soft, oxblood-hued faux fur vest makes for a glamorous night out look. Add to the luxurious feel by carrying all of your nighttime essentials in a deep red velvet clutch. Jet black flared jeans and a black suede pointed-toe heel will make your legs look miles long.
Finish the outfit off with touches of gold: a dainty skull pendant necklace, a skull bangle, and gold fingernails are ideal accents. Varied textures, rich colors, and tiny skull details make this getup both trendy and opulent.
